I’m 56 F and recently started to cycle . I am overweight so feel embarrassed on a bike. I do Just small distances around our local park ( I walk in the uphill section) I wondered is cycling a better form for weight loss than say walking? I know weight loss is all about food but interested to hear from experience bikers if you think cycling is good for losing weight? I am keen to do more biking too . I know all exercise is good so anything is better than nothing.

I am an overweight 56-year-old woman who loves jeggings. I’d like to spend about $100 plus dollars on jeggings as I thrash them in Winter. Can rule out Kmart or warehouse/postie. I’m about size 18-20. Any suggestions apart from the usual outlets. I used to go Shine on in Whangaparaoa but they’ve gone downhill in recent years and no longer stock the brand I used to buy. Any suggestions appreciated!
