Hello! I'm here because I feel like I've kind of ran out of all other options.
I'm 20 years old and I was actually born in Ireland, but my parents had only been in the country for three months at the time so I wasn't automatically given Irish citizenship. I've lived in Ireland for my whole live but still haven't been naturalised, partly due to my parents putting it off/it being way too expensive when I was younger and partly due to the very difficult and confusing process.
That is all just to say that my situation is a bit of weird one. In February, I applied for naturalisation and the form seemed to go through fine (on the ISD website, it shows up as "Submitted" in my Forms tab). However, I haven't gotten an update yet at all. Now that I think about it, I'm not even sure if I got a confirmation email like I was supposed to..? I think I did, but now I'm second-guessing and it's just stressing me out.
Is this normal at all? Should it take this long to go through? Though the form shows up as "Submitted," there is nothing under the "Application Submission Complete" tab. Did I do something wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys so much. :(
