Hello all, I need some advice. My female pug puppy is 6.5 months old. She has had a consistent limp for 2 months. Some days are worse than others and it seems to be both front legs (sometimes the left front leg more). I’ve had 2 vet consultants, they have stress tested her limbs, shoulders etc and she shows no signs of discomfort or pain at all. She runs around like a mad thing with our other pugs, we try to keep her calm but she has so much energy. The limp does not slow her down as she is in no pain but it gets worse after exercise.
The vet says he isn’t sure but has suggested we do a number of scans and x-rays while moving her joints and ligaments around.
I am happy to, but it will be extremely costly and may not show us anything.
It is not due to her diet as the vet said she is in very good condition and is not overweight.
Has anyone experienced this in such a young dog? No history of bone or joint conditions.
He says it may even fade with age but it has been 2 months now.
Any advice would be appreciated- thank you
