Sorry for the pick-me question. Entertain me at your own will.

Don’t get me wrong me wrong, I firmly reject the idea of any version of a supernatural creator.

I would reject supernatural claims religions make such as: Prophet cracking our natural satellite open, Vellam to Bordeaux or Ram engineering a geological bridge.

Rejecting such claims along with denying any presence of divinity associated with the faiths is enough to be considered a non believer for the Abrahamic faiths. Whereas it wouldn’t necessarily exclude me from ‘being a hindu’ - since there are atheistic schools of thought within Hinduism that would reject the creator/deities or such events.

Now to the main question - If I were blind to any values/ideals of Hinduism, I wouldn’t worry that I were accidentally a Hindu. But growing up in a Hindu family, being interested in and having spent time engaging with the metaphysical questions and studying historical connections that arise within hinduism - I am unsure…am I doing injustice to Hinduism by not calling myself one? Or worse, am I being an Imposter in this sub?

Tldr: Identity crisis of an attention seeking ‘hindu’ atheist
