Hey everyone, jumping in here because we're actively looking for an editor for our show.
**About Paradigm:**
We're a video-first interview podcast focused on founders and operators who have crossed borders — geographic, industry, or identity. Think long-form, editorial, documentary-style. Business casual vibe. Not a hype show.
We record in 3-camera setup. Episodes run ~60 minutes. We also need short-form clips cut from each episode for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts.
**What we need from an editor:**
- Long-form video edit (16:9, ~60 min) — slow pacing, energy-first cuts, intentional use of silence
- Short-form clips (9:16) — fast cuts, momentum-driven, burned-in captions
- B-roll integration — editorial, not decorative
- Color palette: black, gold, white. No exceptions.
- Lower-thirds, episode tags, quote pulls in our brand style
- SRT delivery (EN + JP) for long-form
**You're a good fit if:**
- You cut for energy, not for length
- You know when to hold a shot and when to kill it
- You've worked on interview-based or documentary content before
- You can take a style guide and follow it precisely
**Not a fit if:**
- You default to fast cuts on everything
- You add music to "fill" moments
- You've never edited video (audio-only editors, we appreciate you, but this role needs both)
