My clients are selling hampers and gifts. As part of the campaign, I was prepping their store for the Mother's Day shopping rush in Australia.
I admit, we ranked 1st fairly quickly for the main term "mothers day hampers", but we struggled to rank at the top with other high-volume commercial terms like "mothers day gift hampers" and "mothers day hamper".
Tweaked the page several times - no results.
Added 5 new internal links pointed at the collection page - a week later we rank 1st for all 3 target queries.
I can't stress enough how important internal links are. Do your internal linking, please, don't neglect it.
