Is there a way to change the game mode steam ui resolution? Or just a universal resolution for the gamemode?

I added and changed a custom resolution in the desktop mode but thats as far as i can manage, cant find anything online other than in the steam ui, settings -> display, to change resolution but i can only see a "maximum game resolution".
