West Coast Gas - All Gas OG - Old School Fuel 7g - Venom OG x Humboldt OG - Indica Hybrid - ROSIN PRESS

Saw this one a while ago on the forum and the picture grabbed my attention. It looks killer. Just me, or do the buds and hairs kinda look like crawling Venom?

All Gas OG is the strain. Indica dominant Kush cross. Open the bag and holy old school Batman. Mild hay/grass and fresh cut grass, and the grass that you roll up and smoke. All the nice kinds. Often grassy can be a sign of just weak outdoor. That ain't this. Also has a bit of that new strange musty/musky smell. Don't wan't to call it basement, but basement. Sorry. Again, not bad. I tried to pull out the bud, and it came in three parts. Two tiny buds, and the rest all clinging to each other for dear life. Just looked like a giant misshapen bud, but I teased 'em apart to have a better look. Did the Deftones write their second album about this weed. No humidity pack. Very recent packaging, and the cure is perfect. A perfect soldier ready to burn.

They're furry, delivering on the visual. This is what I was hoping for in the bag. Nice lime and darker green, with a high pistil count. Covered in fresh snow and handled with care. Let's crack open that coconut and see what's inside.

The gas smell really opens up from handling the bud. Another stubborn press. No flow until I really gave it a good push. Often I can get the flow started with one or two fingers. There's gotta be a joke in there somewhere. Blond/yellow like fancy butter or the meat from an older chicken. Can you tell I cook a lot? I love collecting this sugar texture extract. No plate, so easy. Not a great yield, at 15.4%. I'm not sad, it looks amazing enough to take the hit. Maybe I should have gone hot and fast instead of low and slow. Sometimes that is the way, but I'll never know with a 7g bag. Rosin smells gassy on the parchment, but the dab is much more neutral tasting than expected. Nothing crazy at all. Not super gassy. Just a clean smooth tiny test dab. Maybe I need more. As I'm setting it up, I can feel a rise from the first one. Nothing big. So many creepers lately. Number 2. OK. There it is. Wooo. Sputtering and squinting. Makes me laugh when you have to put the rig down and back away in your rolly chair like it's just done you dirty, hiding your face in shame. There is only one thing that has just done me dirty...small dabs are a wise choice in general, and also true with wheelchair weed. My bad. :) Good bad.

Close my eyes and imagine. I'm in the interrogation room, and I just stood up to give the cops guff, but that big Sgt. standing over me with giant hands just pushes me back down in my seat. I think I'll just stay here. Seated. For safety. And still the FM techno plays in the background. A staple in the soundtrack of my life since covid.

Feeling 70/30 mind/body from the rosin. It had a creep up to a peak, then mild decline to a solid plateau. Fuzzy, hazy. Stuffy, but soft, not too much pressure. Just soft temples. Slowed. Mouth tastes a bit gassy, but I was expecting the fumez to kinda blow my head off. Not so. Ain't complaining. They were my expectations, not someone else's promises. Gonna roll one up!

Again, gassy when handled. Buds are very fresh and need a real gentle hand to roll or it will compact badly. Finished the roll, made a Clamsand mcmuffin, another dab, a walk, and I'm back on the deck to smoke it finally. I think it dried out a bit. Dry toke is very mute and it's burning a bit quickly. Salty AF. OG flavors for sure...like weed. Pungent. Diesel. Potpourri on the exhale. 50/50 body/mind for me. Not racy like a sativa, but tastes spicy/hazy, like a northern lights strain. Good weed. Feels like I'm stoned. But you do not need a wheelchair. A normal chair will suffice. Kinda earthy citrus. I've seen more fuel. This stuff is good, and worth a buy, but plan on smoking a touch more than normal to get really boosted. Same with the rosin. Awesome effect, but increase dab size as your tolerance requires. It'll get you there...like in a wheelchair...but if you're a fatass, you might need a big one...all gas no brakes. Aeroponically grown too...very cool tiny little misters.

Boreal - Lemon Grapefruit - Lemon Royale x Grapefruit Romulan - Hybrid - ROSIN PRESS

A fine reco from a fine budtender. Coming to the Trillium Provence all the way from the land of the midnight sun. Or one of them. I guess there are a few. Boreal is a small craft producer out of the Yukon. I'm hoping they have bagged up some of that northern goodness for us.

The strain is Lemon Grapefruit. I was hoping for a heavy citrus flavor profile. Not quite what I got at every stage of the game. This is not what I would call a typical lemon strain. The Romulan side is just dominating with its unassailable warmongering. It's like there is a bowl of grapefruits there, but the Romulans flew in with a Warbird and blew the fuck out of it. We are left with an angry Romulan, covered in citrus pulp...but you can't hide under there Tomalak. I see you and your disruptor.

The smell is more pineapple than citrus. Candy gas. So much bubblegum. Sweet and sour food, but without the astringent lemon/lime. This one is all grapefruit as far as citrus. There is a bit of cleaner smell, but not the lemon pledge one. More like soap or thrillz gum. A bit on the dry side, but fine to roll. The stems seem thicker than most of the bud I've been smoking. Med sticky. The count visually looks big. Micro shots reveal the heads are milky and swollen, but not dark at all.

Shall we squeeze? Clamsand pressing alien grapefruit juice. Wow, it was hard to initiate the flow. Strong Romulan shield no doubt. I think that is a function of the dryness. I had to use more pressure than normal before I could see the filter start to saturate. But, in the end, they all bleed. Nice light sappy extract with twinkling sugared sections. Not a massive yield, at 17%, but that's OK, it looks very nice. Tried folding the football for a second press, and got a dark green sap for another 0.08g. (that's the dark bit on the dabber in one of the pics) I don't include the second press weight in the yield unless I have a total early blowout and have to bail early. Fired up a bucket and she tastes interesting. I've had a bunch of Romulan sauce and diamonds from High Voltage Extracts, and this has a lot of the same flavor. You get a sweetness, a bit of that bubblegum, and a bunch of grapefruit. Some earthy and pine. I feel a little exacerbated, kinda like I don't know what hit me. Not that I'm obliterated, but if someone were here (I am smoking alone sadly), I be giving them the eyes, asking "shit, you feeling this too?"

Don't take this the wrong way, but the extract is sitting in the middle of the "Full Spectrum" highway. Maybe half of the possible range of effects that weed can have. But the ones it has, it is doing right. Lets' try the bud.

Dry toke tastes like pink lemonade. Straight up. Grapefruit and sweet smoke, and very smooth at the tip. Not harsh like some citrus strains. Still a bit salty though. Feel good in the whole top part of my brain. Feeling delayed. Getting saltier and touch harsh at the butt. Nice. I'm baked for sure. Feels more sativa to me. Can feel it through the concentrate 100%. Feel a bit intense, kinda like I'm ready for battle...but in a game of shuffleboard or croquet or something. Golf weed anyone?

You should be able to buy prerolls at concerts, theatres, and golf courses. It just makes sense. No debate required.

Feeling very fine. Recommended strain for wake n' bake, gardening, chores, gaming with friends. I'd call this functional weed. The buds got a bit squished in the bag, but I guess it did come from the Yukon, can't complain. Sounds like it isn't stocked everywhere. I picked it up at Veggie Cannabis on Dundas W for 49.95+ for a 7g bag if it sounds like your bag.

Overall 8/10 buds, 7.5/10 rosin. Great for everyday. If you are looking for lemon pledge, these aren't the buds you're looking for. If you are looking for a couch lock monster, nope. If you got shit that needs to get done, yes. Tastes like aliens. I am interested in their Banana offering. Funky shit guys. Thanks.

Northern Canna - Atomic Marker - Banana Cream CakexPermanent Marker - Indica Hybrid

I've seen people complain when there are no burn shots. Take this!

Now you too can make rosin at home! You don't even need a press. Seems all you need is a Marker strain and a joint. Smoke that thing about halfway down and your candle will transform into a rosin soaked tube of oil. And you will love it. This shit kills again.

Atomic Marker. Is it like Permanent Marker but with a radioactive core? Yes. Yes it is. It's a bit older. I can see the issue with the lid now. There is a foam liner in the lid to aid in keeping an airtight seal on the container after opening. Very thoughtful. There is also a foil seal stuck around the rim of the jar to ensure an airtight seal for a distribution. The adhesive seems to be passing through the foil seal towards the lid and sticking/reacting with the foam pad. They then bond together to some degree sitting on the shelf. When I initially open the lid, the foil can release or peel off with the plastic cap. Not the end of the world, as long as the foil seal is intact on the shelf, and the container reseals well after opening, but it could still use a bit of improvement. The container was definitely sealed when I got it, measuring an average of 10.5RH across a couple buds. :) No assembly required, batteries included.

It smells like a Marker. Buds look great. Frosty, and covered in delicate red pistils. Count is there. Please excuse the color on the photos. I am an audio guy, not a photo guy, and I care more about detail than color. Not that the detail is the best in my photos either. But the bud is not that yellow IRL. I always use mellow yellow lights in my room cuz, hey, I smoke a lot of weed. Bright shit is alot. I may change, I may not. Nice mix of greens in the bud, almost touching on purp.

A clamsand press before burning this one. As with all my Marker presses thus far, squeezes out dark and thin. Not quite as runny as PM(permanent marker), but very similar. 24.3% yield. Another producer. Keep in mind, cannabis enthusiasts, that the sap produced using a heat press is not a direct reflection of THC content in the bud. There are many things contributing to the total mass of the yield. Tons (relatively, 5-20%) is wax, water, terps that are visible to the naked eye, other oily and organic compounds, chlorophyll, biomass that passes through the filter bag etc. If I had to guess, I would say that maybe half of the weight extracted is THC. Just a guess!! So anyone questioning how you can get a 30% extraction by weight when it is impossible to exceed some 38% theoretical maximum of THC in the plant is missing, literally, half the story. Possibly missing half of something else?

But lets proceed, and read. For science. You can smoke at the same time. I will. It's fun. Dare I say, more fun than FIFA?

The sap was a bit easier to collect than PM, getting it done with the fridge plate rather than the freezer. Tried the maiden dab and it is strong AF. Immediate take over of my face from the high declining from whatever I was last smoking. This stuff must be twice as strong as the Pink Certz. This is more something I would consider "Full Spectrum" in effects. I feel fucking confused. Not about the weed, I just mean the high. Brain, body, visual. Yes. All of the above. More chill than anxious. Big teddy bear hug.

I am the pillow.

Non quantized FM techno in the background is just hypnotizing. The high is still building. Gut rot or something as the digestive system gets a kick...probably my shawarma lunch is blame. Wow! That was a cool peak. A good 5 min super high. And that's all I need. This is the shit. I was a fool and pressed the little buds I set aside in my rolling box for my joint. Oh well, there's a couple grams left in the jar. Guess I'll need to break up that king bud. I'll give it a bit to let the dab decline before I tackle the joint.

Breakup was easy, with no stick in the grinder. Low kinetic. Smells as marker as the PM. Maybe gassier. Dry toke is peppermint and candy cane. That marker profile really shifts around. Smooth, meaty flavor. Chest tightness. OG flavors. Tastes like weed. Floral, rather than peppery on exhale. Tastes like dried flowers. HA! How about that? Earthy and a bit GSC creamy at the end. Creeping. Nice plateau, and my lungs seemed to relax as the tightness just let go all at once. Smooth to the butt, in spite of the Exxon Valdez making an appearance. This joint got so oily, I would say the last third is a fully rosin infused joint. You are doing dabs with every haul. I attached way too many shots of the joint to show the progress and saturation of said oil spill. Hate if you must, I just wanted to show the extent of the emergency in case I had to file a claim with the government. Tongue numb at the back, but not dry again. Floating, but I am sitting in a gravity lounger. Cool echoes of dogs barking in the neighborhood. Sounds of sputtering dryer vents. And planes, the constant changing drone of planes. Close my eyes and I'm inside my head. More body than mind on this one though. My mind just feels kinda serene. But, I am just chillin on the deck, soaking up the rays and getting high. "God, grant me the wisdom to know the difference." Serenity now. Ok.

So. It's awesome. Northern Canna Atomic Marker gets the Clamsand seal of approval. The budtender said I got the last one. If you think you are wanting more, then that's the last thing you want to hear. But when you are just trying to do a Northern Canna run (Cannaball Run anyone?), and you went out of the way just to get this, the words sounded sweet indeed. The last one.

Damn. 9.2/10 both flower and rosin.

Northern Canna - The Collective Half Q - Pink Certz - The MentholxGrape Gas - Indica - ROSIN PRESS

This was released at the same time at the Berry Rampage Oz. Obviously I got the oz first. But I made my way back like a sad adulterer, banging on the door. Take me back. There's weed in there.

This one is a shower. Show-er. Not a rain of water. As in, not a grower. A grower grew it. Get it? That's right, I said it.

See, I'm'ma rapper.

Scaled in at 3.51g. They got some MF whipping those packagers over at Northern Canna or what? Northern Canna, packaged in West Berlin. A bit dry. Looks sparkly with a healthy spattering of dark green leaves. Mostly the little guys that grow in the bud, rather than big bottom leaves. Not much you can do about that. And they're cute. Mild smell until I bust the bud a bit. I can actually smell the pink certz smell out of the grinder. It's like a fruity minty shoot up your nose. Menthol as a good certz is. Active and phenolic, but not aggressive. Not super gassy. I didn't need to pull my face away. Smell declined quickly. Dry toke has an attractive herbiness, mix of mint and tarragon (kinda licorice). First toke is a bit astringent, but interesting flavor. Burning fast. Early oil ring sections and bit of a slick. Feels hybridish at first. Lots of effects. Then the joint looked dry again. I think the dryer bud is wicking the oil leaching from the heater. Feels heavy and thick, then racy, then back. Wonderful high. I'm going to say sativa leaving overall. Eyes wide. Feel like I just guzzled a coffee, but I haven't had any. It didn't get harsher, which was kinda my expectation. I'd say it actually got smoother towards the end. Maybe I got a bit of stem at the tip or something. I don't know. And I may never know, as I only got 3.5g and I'll be pressing the rest after a bit of hydration.

Going to be just a baby Clamsand pressing today. Lets see what we can get out of 2.3g. Often when I do a small press, I just leave it on a scrap of parchment and only smoke that for the rest of the day or until its gone. I am getting a shipments of 50 fancy new containers this week, so it will even be possible for me to jar little batches (<0.4g). Again, for science. But, depending on yield, I'll likely just chip away at it before the terpene fairies all escape. I just imagined a little terp miner...he would be made of lungs, with a glass bong helmet, a little torch headlight, and a dab tool pick axe, chipping away at green veins of terpenes formed from dinosaur era cannabis compressed over time in sappy underground caverns.

Yup, stoned.

I just learned a while ago that I don't visualize like some other people when I read. It's just words to me. But when I write, it comes out completely differently when I visualize and then write about what I see/imagine. More details seem to emerge.

I'm calling this weed an 8/10 on the full spectrum scale. Many of the possible effects of cannabis. Appetite, elevated, anxious, time perception altered, slight immobility, heaviness, hazy and fuzzy, but not super visual. Maybe its just too early in the morning to see stuff. I did smoke a bit of that Yuck Mouth concentrate in am before attempting this review. I would like to press it now, but it needs at least another couple hours in the jar. I realize this is not an ideal hydration schedule, but I'm an impatient man. If I get a shit yield, I have only myself to blame. Based on how I feel after after the joint, this shit has more than enough magic inside for a good extraction. I'm totally spoiled now, wondering if maybe I'll get another super return. Fucking 34%. Don't think like that. Learn to love losing. You'll be happier.

The high from the joint is really lasting. Going shopping for more Northern Canna. I'll be back.

I'm back. Clamsand pressing. Yield, a respectable 18.62%. Blowout led to a bit of loss. I find it harder to smash small amounts, as you need to hold back on the pressure on the lever. Color and clarity are great. Not super taking my head off. Did 3 dabs before I really felt it set in. Then did a 4th and I'm feeling good. Chest is tight. Thinner than the bud (in effects) for sure. Still a great dab. The first 2 seemed to have kinda neutral flavor, but then the 3rd and 4th presented the certz flavor. My sinus just had to aclimatize to the flavor and pepperyness. Feeling it in the lower rear brain. Harder to focus. 80/20 brain/body. Almost cranberry turkey aftertaste. Elevated, but some anxiety. Starting to feel a bit sleepy eyed. It's a rollercoaster. I flattened the sap thin in a cool press to check the clarity...it almost disappeared in that one shot. I had to fold it into quarters to get the thickness right.

While waiting for this stuff to rehydrate, I swung by Spiritleaf on Bathurst. They seemed to have most of the currently available Northern Canna stuff in small jars. I was able to pick up 3 more strains, so you will have to suffer with my purple rage over the next couple days. Please excuse my focus on one vendor. I'm not trying to play favorites, I'm just digging some of their stuff and want to sample all the shades of the purple rainbow. I'll try and stay impartial if that is possible.

This offering was not my favorite so far. If I was in need, I'd intentionally soil myself in public to get weed like this. Currently, I'm swimming in quads, and this stuff just didn't stand out as much as some of their others.

7.5/10 overall on the NC scale. Keep smoking to find the flavor profile. Great rosin color and consistency. Given the restrained effects and yield, getting a bit expensive. Better kept as flower. Great looking closeups, but looking a bit light colored. Maybe harvested a bit too soon??

Blkmkt - Yuck Face - Indica Hybrid - ROSIN PRESS (NEW RECORD YIELD!!)- Pkg Apr 20, 2026 - Lot FG33725YUCK01

Sorry about the title, I don't think I can change it. Too stoned to make the reviews accurately. The strain is Yuck Mouth, not Yuck Face. Too much Animal Face recently.

What do you do when you see something you don't believe? The last thing I wanted to do was brag on here about my yield, then realize I made a measurement error, or forgot to tare the scale or something. The increase in output on the press was so high, I was sure it was wrong. It wasn't. I tested it twice. And filmed it. I can only speak about my jar, but if you are looking for the highest rosin output you have ever seen, buy some of this shit.

Blkmkt Yuck Mouth. Great name! GMO lineage. Not my favorite flavor profile. But when something is advertised as ugly, that might be a clue to the beauty hidden beneath. What even is GMO??? I'm sure most of you know on here, but I was surprised when I found out some time ago, and most of my smoker friends have reacted with surprise when I tell them. Before I was informed, I just figured it was a cool word play on Genetically Modified Organism. That would be cool enough right? Tells the buyer that they are playing with some mutant shit and should exercise appropriate caution. Great street name for a strain. That ain't it. Less arbitrary, and more descriptive, the name is a reflection of the wild smell and taste profile. And it is certainly accurate on this one. Garlic, Mushrooms, Onions. While I'm a fan of all these things in cooking, they are not the first things that come to mind when someone asks me what flavors I like in my smoke. But, if the smoke melts my brain, I'll pretty much take any flavor. The strain lists a crossing with Cookies and Do-Si-Dos, but all I get is straight GMO on this one. Pretty cool if that's your thing.

Buds look great, with the count at a respectable 14.17g. Light lime green with a few darker green tiny leaves. Cut is amazing, with minimal large leaves and very small stems. I managed to get almost no loss prepping my 4g press. It makes a big difference in yield if you need to remove 0.75g of leaf and stem from a 5g press. It's normal to have some loss obviously, but this stuff seems to have less than normal. Frosty, attractive scatter of red hair, with tiny bits of purple here and there. Very sticky with trichrome coverage above average for AAAA. Even with the camera closeups you can see the balls at the top of the trichs glinting like balloons. And the micro shots are even better. The humidity level is perfect. One little Boost pack in the bottom of the jar. Seal was intact.

Roll a little one up for a test. Easy to handle as long as you are efficient, or it starts to get sticky. Breakup is average, or slightly above expected, so don't let your eyes get bigger than your lungs. Dry toke is again, 100% garlic and allium. Don't kiss your mother with that mouth, unless she's Italian. This is where the news gets a bit mixed for me. For a GMO forward strain, I'm looking for complete destruction in the effects. If I'm gonna eat garlic, I wanna get fucked up. As the high hit, quick and strong for sure, I was again surprised to find it what I call "thinner". If I get all the possible effects I have ever experienced smoking weed from one joint, I would call it "full spectrum". I understand that these can have other meanings, but it's best for me to define them in the context I mean here. Yuck Mouth does not seem "Full Spectrum" to me. It seems to bring about some of the list of possible effects of weed, but not all. It's a bit hard to explain, but I'll give an example or two. You can have a head buzz and a body buzz. This had a full on head buzz, but minimal body buzz. I felt expanded in my front brain, with a nice pleasant pressure pushing out, but not all groggy and heavy in my rear brain. More active, and less relaxed. It was clearer rather than feeling like I was in a haze. I was missing a bit of the cloudy hug I get from some strains. Still very strong head buzz, just not feeling destroyed in all capacities as I (foolishly) expected. Great burn, with just a tiny bit of pepper in the ash. Just before halfway, a bit of an oil ring and a general paper slick developed. No harshness around the butt. At this point, I'm sitting between a 7.5/10 and 8/10. I was expecting more from this high priced slugger. ...and I was about to get it.

When the smoke is underwhelming in some way, as the flavor of GMO is for me, it makes the pressing that much more exciting. Will it transform into something amazing, or will it go south in any number of ways? As this shit is primo, I started with a smaller test press. 4.1g of bud in, with only the tiniest bit of loss to stems and leaves. 4.0g in the puck at press. I can see a bead squeezing out from between the plates, and it looks like the lightest caramel, straw, or a lager. This is good. I finish the press with no signs of blowout. Collect the fruits of my labor. I can't believe it. I must have done something wrong. 4.0g in, and 1.31g out. It's getting almost hard at room temp, and is very light in color. Smells just like the bud, but a touch of gas on top now. I try a quick test dab and it melts clean. No moisture at all.

Get out your calculators. I don't know if this is normal for anyone else, but let me remind you of the typically agreed upon standards for rosin. A number that people should be happy with when pressing. 18%. If it is lower than that, it may be an indication of inferior bud, or lack of moisture, or a bunch of other shit, but even 14-17% is not considered a failure. When you really hit it, you get up into the low 20s. 21-23%. I am just an at home enthusiast with limited experience, and a budget press with no pressure gauge. My previous record was 25%, set the other day, and I was very proud and bragging on this forum. This shit pressed out at 32.75%. No second press. Lowish temps (170top, 163bot) and super light colored sap. I had to repeat to make sure I was correct. I also wanted to try a few more joints before I felt confident in my not-really-a-trainwreck review.

The next day, I start fresh with a joint on the deck. Same result. Great, but not amazing. Go in and try the concentrate. It's rock hard and shattery out of the beer fridge. Tastes great in general. I'm getting used to the profile as it is all I've been smoking for 18h now.

Lets try a second press and see if I fucked up or something. I decided to film the press, as I figured some doubting Thomas' out there may question my honesty. Keep in mind that a high yield is not really a brag on my part. I play a very minimal and procedural role in the rosin extraction, and any consistently high yield is a reflection of the skills of the grower and the genetics. I don't grow the stuff, I just press here. Lets go a bit bigger, but I only have 14g, and I smoked a few joints. For science, I decide on about 6g. Prepare a longer parchment to see if I can get a cooler video shot of the flow. It never seems to work out great, but I shot it. In trying to adjust the camera, I am slightly off my game and press a bit longer overall than intended. 40s prepress and about 130s main. Still looks great, with almost no blowout. I get to collecting and it is thick. Started with 6.36g. Trimmed to a 5.95g puck. Drumroll please. Yield 2.05g. For a return of 34.45%. Holy Fuckshit!! Now there is a lot of wax and contaminant in flower rosin (although I use 37u filter bags to get as much as I can, with can reduce yield), so you can't say that's all THC, but the shatter texture makes me think it's pretty high. What would come out if I pressed at a higher temp?? She's a real looker after collection and in the jar. I even did a second press to see, and got another 0.15g of golden goodness. The rosin is awesome, clean, and thin in its effects. If you dab too big, you will regret it. The flavor is there, but not as strong as the bud.

So I call that a win. Mellow the oddball flavor, concentrate the effects. The super high yield makes the premium cost easy to justify. How many of your OCS purchased rosins are made with top shelf Blkmkt buds, killer strong, and costing less than 30$/g? I think we all know the answer to that. Thanks to the previous reviewers for the recommendation. Would not have done this without you.

Can anyone out there replicate this yield experiment on another jar please? Maybe I got some crazy ass top cola shit.

For me, it's an 8/10 for the flower and 9.4/10 for the rosin. Insane yield. 34.45%

Northern Canna - Permanent Marker - Indica - ROSIN PRESS - Pkg Oct 17, 2025 - Lot BPR-25-162-1

Clamsand, bringing you an oldie. I have seen this one reviewed recently making claims about this being near the top of the top shelf. I am really liking the NC stuff so much at this point that I'm on a bit of a hunt. If I can try everything available, I will. They can't all be bangers, right???

Permanent Marker is a new strain for me in the last couple months. Maybe I'm late to the party, but I'm here now, and covered in oil. To be honest with you all, I pressed a few other Marker strains, and so far they have all pressed out a thin dark rosin that does indeed reek of Sharpie. I pressed 7g from a Carmel split bag of Bubblegum Marker, and was just amazed at the difference from most other presses. Thin dark oil that would not really butter up, even over time. The only other strain that had the same texture for me was the WN Blue Guava. No complaints about it, just different. The marker flavor is not my fave, but its fine, and the effect was strong and enjoyable. So enjoyable, I bought a 14g bag to add to the split. I guess this is always the real test. Do you buy more? When I got that one, I saw the Tuck Shop Hawaiian Marker at the same shop, and the guy said it was even better. So I got it as well. I didn't end up thinking it was better. Still good, yes, but importantly it had that same dark thin oil. As a lover of science, I appreciate when things happen with a consistency. It keeps the world orderly and decodable. Creates an illusion of safety.

Fast forward to my current Northern Canna run, and I couldn't shake the need to see if their Marker offering would squish out the same. And if so, why? What is it that makes the rosin from this strain dark and thin. High terp content? If any of you read my Pineapple Bang review, I mentioned that shopping trip was meant to get this stuff (Permanent Marker), and was a "failure". Today I found a place that had the PM for the cheapest price and felt the weed gods laughing when I drove there and now a second budtender said, "Oh, not sure, I'll have to check in the back." Fucking teases. I looked myself in the glass case beside me and there were three jars sitting right there. My hackles settled. Mission success.

Non-transparent jar, good for UV protection. Seal...intact. I could even hear a nice hiss and it was rather hard to peel back. Got out the old swiss army. Good moisture, ranging from 10-11RH on the poker. Check the pkg date!...goes to show that a good cure and a small humidity pack and keep this stuff awesome to consume for 6 months no problem. Seemed fresher and at a better moisture level than many other younger jars I've had recently, including some by this company. Different day. Smell is Marker, a bit lighter than the Carmel, but also a strong fuel and meaty/metallic odor. Crazy. Fingers sticky, increasing with more handling, kinda beyond what I expected given the appearance. Again, mid level of visible frosting. Man, but look at those wee headies. In tons of the pictures you can see swollen ends on the trichs. Still a bit light, not light gold, but I ain't complainin'. I dug out my crappy usb microscope to get some better closeups. Not amazing, but better than I was getting with my phone alone.

Remember what we are here for, science. Lets smash them for science. The pattern was confirmed. Very thin darker oil. Difficult to collect. If you press it, have a cooling plate in the freezer. The one I have in the fridge was not enough. The sap would start to heat as it got thicker on the collection tool, and start to pull away rather than collecting. This is not a beginner rosin. Ding Ding Ding Ding...a new record folks. 25% yield on this one. I would guess high moisture content in the bud if I hadn't handled it every step of the way. Fired up a dab, and did indeed get a tiny crackle, which can be an indication of excessive moisture content, but why? My best guess is that the cooling plate gets condensation as it warms, and as a result of the collection difficulty, it took longer than normal. May it have soaked a bit through the parchment? Not sure. I have had a couple of strains crackle just a touch when they are dabbed straight off the press, and then after they settle for a hour or more, no more crackle. My BS is that maybe them terps are just so goddamn fresh. Sounds good. I normally use a silicone pad to protect against this, but this stuff needed direct contact with the plate to get fast enough heat transfer.

High is building...creeper again. Feel it in my lower brain stem but also feel like I have a mask on, so front face/brain effects as well. Slowed. Slow blinks and head movements. Slight chest tightness. Draw left a nice impression. Tangy, or salty, like I ate a meat stick, but none of the oilyness. Minimal cottonmouth. Almost numb tongue, way at the back though. Getting an instant reminder that I skipped lunch. Getting all the heavy indica effects, but also kinda wide eyed and alert. I guess hybridish. Lets wait for a bit and see if there is a decline.

Or I'll roll one up. I was looking forward to seeing the texture of the rosin, but most excited for the high of the flower. Just hyped, that's all. Nice weed makes me like a kid in a candy store. I just want it all. Glutton. That guy did say it was the best ever. The concentrate is strong for sure, still full on while I roll. Breakup in the grinder is fast and super easy. Almost a meaty licorice smell. Fuel. High kinetic texture and tacky with the stickiness stacking with more handling. Nice to roll. Smells like a super fuely concentrate I got from Good Selections back in the early legal days. I can't quite remember the strain...it's almost in my mind. Dry toke is a combination of mint and sage. I think those are the flavors that combine to get the sharpie. Feeling it in my forhead, then along the top of my head. Smooth, creamy OG flavor. Elevated, with no anxiety. No oil ring or slick to speak of, and nice white ash. Full raised helmet visor feeling, like I'm just barely wearing a hoodie hood that I can't see. Pulled back. No visuals. Other than a bit of body buzz and lightness, fully cerebral. A head high for sure. Nice euphoric positivity.

Had a touch to eat and I still feel an energetic high...not sluggish. Slight grin. I would say creative is a good descriptor of how I feel. The jar should say "Smoke This And Make Something."

...but not more rosin. I think this bud is best consumed as flower. If you don't mind a runny dark extract, which doesn't bother me at all, then there are great effects here. But I think it just shines brightest in every category, look, smell, taste, and high just as it is. I wish I could have tried a batch when it was fresher just to compare. Would the sap be lighter?

Is this the best weed ever? No. Is it great? Yes. Will I buy more? I don't think so at this price. I think I'll wait for the next, fresher offering, and see what the future holds. Did I buy a second half oz of Pineapple Bang? Yes. Maybe I'll get to some others 3.5g oldies first and sample the whole available line. A little birdie told me to expect something new next week, and he said it would make the Pineapple Bang look like an 8.5/10. I'm keeping my eyes peeled. If the quality is high, I hope they keep those collective oz offerings rotating. The price was right. Doing these 14g jars at 100ish+tax adds up. I'm sorry for those that need to pay even more than this in remote areas. At 165/oz my bank account would be happier overall and my rosin cost/g would just seem like smart business.

Overall 8.5/10 Better as flower than rosin though.

This one has been reviewed recently, and when I looked at the fat buds I had one dirty thought on my mind...

But lets light that shit on fire first. Buds look great, with a healthy level of frost. Between the Alien Mints and the Frost'd Flakes I need to make sure I don't set my average bar too high. Those beauties were unnatural mutants, and not to be compared to buds with any indication of quality. Actually I've often found the opposite, where a balanced level of frosting provides the best smoke/high. Reading the tea. Smells kinds skunky/fruity and minty with a touch of funk. Mostly minty herbal. Good level of moisture when busted, expected a bit more dryness. Breaks up smaller than I expected, as the buds look dense. Some dark green, almost purple runs. Less fruity after grinding, more complex. Smells like cowboy equipment. Like oiled and worked leather. Tastes a bit fruity, creamy, and sulpherous on the exhale, but not too peppery. Three tokes and I laid back in the gravity chair and closed my eyes. Not dry, very smooth. Tight upper chest. Feel it in the lower part of my brain stem. Not quite as strong as I expected, but nice and smooth. Again, a med speed ramp up on the high. Finished the joint just before dinner. Easy burn. White ash and not too oily. Smooth to the end. After dinner still feeling elevated and a bit slow to blink. Back of my head feels light and I'm smiling and cracking jokes. Maybe I'm just funny?

CBG is starting to really be something I look for. Higher levels (10-20mg) seem to correlate with a positive mood boost for me. Thoughts? I know you can get super high CBG strains and extracts. Maybe it's time for me to try them.

Couch lock incoming. Been watching The Expanse. It's pretty awesome.

And, what I've all been waiting for, the press. These things just look like oil sponges to me, so had high hopes for a nice return...and was cut down. Perhaps they could have benefited from a bit more hydration, but I only got a 17.5% return. Still decent, so I can't beat them, or myself, up. That does make the extract pretty pricey though, given my time and effort. It's very hard keeping the wood fire going at the right temperature to heat the plates at 165deg, and everyone knows that extended levers are hard to pull. ;) Very nice consistency, a gelled up medium green/yellow oil. Easy cleanup with a bit of cooling plate. Cookies flavor, some pine, a bit peppery. Nice high, but thin. Angular visuals. A few smooth strong effects, but not the full spectrum of crushing glue cannabinoids I've had in other samples of subsets of this lineage. Feels nice, I would say the CBG is coming through. Not too drowsy, but relaxed. Feel fuzzy. Cottonhead more than cottonmouth.

Nice bud. Not the best if you are looking for a heavy hitter Glue. Very good if you are looking for a happy, functional day high. Not recommended for pressing unless you are rich. Like a rapper.

"Someone should press this"

Saw this in another review and she looked pretty frosty and a touch darker than the typical snow covered bud. Figured I'd see how it squishes.

Open the bag to earthy smells and pumpkin. Yes. A little piney, and maybe the tiniest bit of cereal...but I'm lookin hard. The buds are covered like crazy, as I was hoping, a nice size, not all compressed, and perfectly cured. Measured around 11RH on the meter. Good to go without having to humidify.

Rolled one up, being sure not to go crazy in the grinder. The budtender at Mani's Toke on Queen advised to go easy on the handling to keep the trichs from all falling off. I did, and it seemed to work. Very mild kinetic texture. Much nicer smell after breaking up, a bit fruit/skunk and earthy. Rolled a king size...lets see if that was a good idea. Burns a bit rough at the tip, but it was a bit loose. The rest of the joint burns fine. The high is slow and creeping, but building. Feeling a bit drowsy and pasty on the tongue. After a couple draws, feeling in my head, and I closed my eyes and laid back in the gravity chair. Some good relaxed vibes and mild euphoria. Feel like meditating. Piny taste. Chocolate. Creamy. A huge plane flies overhead, cool engine sound. Losing my train of thought. Got about halfway through the fattie and figured I'd save the rest for later. At a nice stage, but the joint was starting to get a bit harsh, and the flavor dropped off. Very tunnely feeling.

I thought I started to smell the cereal a bit more when I was loading the buds in the prepress. Press went well, with a 22% yield (better than I was expecting), and a nice light color. Looks like a light cake batter texture. Opening the parchment was kinda like opening a grilled cheese that's not quite warm enough. The extract doesn't look like a lot, but it's just not a spreader. The resin starts to take on a snappy/shattery texture at room temp, so I need to be careful it doesn't fly everywhere as I collect. A bit sweet tasting. Pine and candied citrus rind. Similar flavors to the bud smell, but a bit muted. Not too gassy, and didn't hit like a ton of bricks...creeping again. Almost the same color as the unbleached parchment.

Pretty nice, but not a freight train.

No Ragrets!! Would repress, but would get a full oz next time. Probably won't. Too many options.

Just a quickie for a premium preroll. Sometimes I get caught out longer than expected, or I just don't make time to prepare. Enter the preroll. I almost always end up let down and feeling lame for not rolling the awesome weed I have at home. My own fault I guess for my ignorance and buying shitty prerolls. This one did not let me down. It's my first Blkmkt preroll, and sadly I have only tried a few of their bud offerings. Also my fault. Shame.

Got out at Sherbourne stn with my buddy (who doesn't smoke much anymore), and he saw the dispensary and twisted my rubber arm. I brought only a 510 with me. He gets a drink, and I start looking at the menu trying to flex some of my recent discoveries. We are a bit late for a concert. He pays, and is waiting, and I'm still shopping and feeling like a princess. Hadn't had any of the Pave strains yet, so I saw a ceramic Blkmkt Pave something and the choice was made. Roll the dice. Got a nice expensive looking matte tube. I held it up in the dark and we oood and ahhhd at the glass liner. Fancy shit. I bumped out the joint into my hand. What a baddie! Short and fat, with the end folded in on itself. Nice black ceramic "filter" with a red plug to keep the goodness from falling out. Small side note, always remember to remove the plug in these ceramic tips. I know it sounds stupid, and maybe I was, but I bought these Beurre Blanc ones a number of years ago, infused with awesome bubble hash, and they had white ceramic filters with a white plug. I fought with that fucker, in the dark, actually with the same guy, for a good few mins before I realized I didn't pull the plug. Also, look both way before you cross the street guys.

Tasted great. Again, like normal weed. Nothing really stood out that I remember. I'm not sure what to call that. OG? Kush? Old-school? Sweet skunk? I was stoned enough and spaced at the halfway point, but didn't want to save it as it was stubby to begin with and it was embarassingly small - might as well just finish it right?? By the time we walked down to the Phoenix I was good and wavy. Great burn, but I feel there is a bit of waste as it gets to the paper that stitches the joint to the filter. It would be cool if there was no paper, or if it was designed to smoke, then you could just smoke the thing into the filter for less waste. Crazy idea, probably bad. Dumped the ceramic tip in one of the City of Toronto garbage can cigarette holes...not sure why I like those. Cruised in as the headliner started and the death metal was full on. Very stoned through the whole set. Great performance from Archspire. Fun death metal. Seem like nice lads. The circle pit was the best I've seen at a small show in a while, and it was full of a new generation of metal heads. Love it.

Took this pic of a cool statue on the way home. Yes, that is the full size of the 1g joint. Not long. Fat.

Overall 9/10 Pricey

WTF. This shit is strong. I did a dab, and first I couldn't open my eyes, then they were wide open, now I feel all doped up and goofy. All in about a minute.

Northern Canna Pinapple Bang. Drove a bit out of the way to get a jar of NC Permanent Marker, as some fine folk on here have called it the best weed ever (I'm a sucker for that kinda talk), but when I got there, the website was wrong and they "only" had Pineapple Bang. I had heard good things about it as well, and I loved the Berry Rampage so much, I let chance lead the way. The buds look great through the strip between the labels on the glass jar, slightly darker than the Berry Rampage, with a medium level of visual frosting. Smell is still fruity, but not like fresh grape/berry, more like dried fruit...apricot or plum, and even dare I say, pineapple.

When I screwed off the lid, the foil seal, which I had admired on the Berry Rampage, seemed to peel off at the same time as I removed the lid. It looked like it was not still adhered to the rim, but I can't be sure. I can be sure that the buds were pretty dry. Nothing bad, but dryer than I normally like my bud to roll. Measured Low on my cheapo wood moisture meter, which is below 9 or 9.5RH. To be clear, the cure was good and they would be totally fine to smoke, not powder or anything. Turned up a 13.85g on the scale with a tiny bit of sticky flakes left in the bottom of the jar. I'm guessing it lost a bit in moisture given the seal. Happy with the count, as I'm sure 14g went into the jar. That pop-tab peel-off hard top on the eastcann 28gs is starting to look like the king, but then you don't get to see in the jar. Tradeoffs. As usual for me, bit of moist paper towel folded in parchment and a moisture sensor in the jar, one burp after a couple of hours and the top buds were getting a bit fluffy. Took out the humidifier (there was a bud seriously stuck to it), added 2 moisture packs and left it overnight. RH in the jar was at 63% in the am and the buds were not fluffy, just perfectly moist. They did seem to dry out faster than normal when I took them out to prep them, so I may still be rushing the hydration, but I never want the buds too wet when I press or the sap will start to pop when dabbed. Probably could wait another day to let the rehydration penetrate more. Patience is a virtue. I did not.

Buds are crazy sticky. I just peeled off enough budlets for a wee doobie, didn't even break it up, and then I had a hard time using my keyboard as my fingers kept sticking to the keys.

Easily twice as sticky as the Berry bag. A bit hard to grind, due to the icky, but I think that's where they hide the goodness. Very light kinetic, but more sticky when ground, and a bit tricky to roll as a result. Ground bud smells fruity and pleasantly phenolic, forcing its way up my nose like vaporub (like it, but not that smell) The joint came out perfect...it'll have to do. Dry toke like fruity bubble gum/cotton candy. Burn, perfect. Ash had a couple of black spots, but that makes no difference to me. Got med oil saturation 3/8" back from the heater at half way, but did not get all oily and nasty at the roach. Came in the house and went up the stair and my legs were a bit wobbly, with a big familiar grin on my face. I think they call it a Shit-Eating Grin. The high is squeezing my temples very hard and there is a "band" raised above my head. It's like wearing a headband, but you slide it up to the top of your head like raising a motorcycle visor. Keeps building. Again, mouth not overly dry, which is unusual. Some static vision visuals with super mild trails, if you get those? Yup, I'm high. Feel awesomely goofy. I'm gonna recommend this as video game weed. No so much couch lock as fun/chill. Honestly, I only smoked 2/3 of the single paper and saved the rest for when I head out to the Archspire show in an hour. Surprise surprise...so stoned I forgot the half joint when I left...but that is another story about a preroll (blasphemy) I bought that you will hear about in another post.

You know it. Clamsand pressing. I take those beautiful buds and smash them...I even smashed one twice to see if it would still bleed. It did. If buds had feelings, rosin would be their tears. I smoke your tears! Too far? Just went for the press, starting with 6g. When the sap got to the edge of the paper, it looked like water. Pure clear with a bit of cloudy white. If you look in the photos you can see the mix of white that ran first, then the gold goodness that followed. I got giddy as a boy should when he sees flesh like that, and then the tearing sound began...early. Make decisions quickly. I was right in the middle with a large portion of the flow extracted, but I knew there was more. I did not want to contaminate this beautiful light extract with a bunch of greenery, so I just held the pressure for a bit to stop the flow. Waited 10s, added a bit more, no tearing sound, added a bit more, no sound, added a bit more and I could hear it ripping so I bailed. Released the plates, removed the pkg and could see 2 little blowouts. I cut my losses, removed the football, folded it in half and 2nd pressed it with some fresh parchment. I got one nice dab from it, but that's it. This shit looks amazing. The lightest yellow and dry but not snappy. Collection was easy. Only got an 18% return, but I'm guessing that would improve with a more solid press...but I'm scared. And rosin can smell fear. I liked the bud a lot, so I may keep the other Q for smoking or future pressing if I finish my initial return. Or maybe I'm just scared? Smoke is insane. And yes, I can taste some pineapple. Tropical fruit on the way in, and mostly spicy on the nose on the way out. More fruit on the aftertaste. It makes me paw at my nose if the dab is too big, almost a sneeze response. But man that color. Pressed at 170 top 163 bottom. I call that press a fail, even though I got some amazing rosin. Check out the edges on the sap...it's like the lacy edges of a crepe.

Overall 9/10 Very pricey, but when pressed, still just below market value for top shelf rosin (60$/g). Smokin it for the win. Labor of love.

For me, this is a unicorn. I would be fine with this as my only weed on a desert island. I ain't saying it'll save your marriage and solve your debt problems (hell, it might make those two things worse), but it looks good, smells good, tastes good, and fucks good, and it presses good. So good, at that price, I went back for a second oz.

Gastro Pop. If you don't like grape, this is not for you. It's grape and berry when you breath in and spicy grape on the way out. These are the grapes/fruit you've been looking for. Not my normal go-to flavor, as I normally associate it with fake ass vapes, but this one is real. Pull back the tab on the peel-off metal seal (awesome) and the room is filled instantly. Buds are huge, dense, and perfectly cured around 11RH. Typical granular moisture pack in the bottom. A bit of green leaf, but at this point, I don't even see her imperfections. You wanna smoke it and eat it at the same time. Shimmering crystals on the bottom and tips of the buds, but not covered in snow. Buds seem heavy and swollen with oily goodness.

Feels kinetic when you peel the budlets off. They pull rather than snap. Golden yellow trichs in all the crevasses. Lets give it a go!! Rollin up listening to Pete and Bas...Slap the Stick. Fuck those old bastards are cool. Super kinetic out of the grinder, but not insanely sticky. I love this shit. Dry toke is, surprise surprise, grape and rasp/blueberry. Back in a few. I'm back. And I brought a snack, if that tells you anything. Super smooth, zero harshness. Grape all day. Burned great, with a small oil ring developing immediately. No canoe or snuffing. Nice white ash, for those that care. I just rolled a normal person joint (single paper) and was fine to finish it. Not to say it isn't strong, but I didn't feel the need to stop. The smoke did not dry me out, no drinks, but I did get cottonmouth, like a thickness and fuzzyness rather than dry. The high is more at the back of my head and a bit in my cheeks. Couch lock incoming. Going to see Archspire tonight, so I will be leaving the house. What to smoke??

So, on to the pressing. This stuff was gushing. 22-24% return...my record. I tried swinging the temp around my typical 163 bottom plate and 170 top plate +-7deg to see the results. I did get a bit of variation in texture with a bit thinner, oilier result at the higher temps, and a tiny bit of sugar at the lower temps. If you think the color on the big drop in the collection trough is too dark, it isn't. Rosin looks quite different when there is a larger amount of it, and it's sometimes surprising. Trust me, it was nice. The largest variation in color seems to come from first, if I get a blowout, but second the size of the press. When I pack more in, the oil seems to come out in stages and it's often quite different at the start, middle, and end of the press. Light and runny at the start, darker and thicker in the middle, then super runny at final high pressures (obviously a generalization, all pressings are different). That's just me reading the tea leaves though. I did get a couple blowouts, and it did contaminate and darken some of the extract. I love the getting a bit of the lighter stuff and dipping it into the darker clear stuff for a nice dab. Taste is grape/fruit on the way in, and spicy/gassy berry on the exhale. Then this crazy spiciness hits my nose, and it's just like eating too much wasabi. I'm blinkin and wiggling and sweating. Sick! Desert island.

As usual, mileage may vary. Ride your own ride.

Clamsand pressing. This will be another kinda weak review as I didn't get many bud pics or pressing pics. Flame away.

Dealr Galactic OG was a suggestion from the budtender. Not cheap, but very nice. Honestly, this is what I wanted from the Kronic Super Silver Haze, but did not get.

The buds were smallish and well cut. Very little green leaf. Light green mixed with yellow, and some purple. Med trich coverage with a dry stickyness. Got stickier the more I handled it. Moisture level was perfect around 10.5 or 11 out of the glass jar. Sweetness, fresh cut grass, and a kinda herbed cooked meat smell (like weak rosemary on a steak).

Joint burned nice but got oily about half way in and I slowed down and it went out. Just once. Mostly just peppery/gassy on the exhale in my nose...and weed taste. Normal weed taste. I like that. No pics of the joint.

The rosin surprised me. I was expecting a good return, and got one. 20-22% over a couple of presses. What I was not expecting was how much the citrus smells would come out. This is one of those lemon pledge explosions, but not fake smelling. Just the way you want the limonene to come through. I wish I had more pics, as the oil came off the press with these beautiful runs of light green in the yellow. After collection they swirled on the top and it looked like a psychedelic marshmallow. But then I smoked too much before I got a pic of the swirl. Taste is creamy and citrus, with a strong focused more sativa buzz. Not really like a heavy indica.

Bud 7.5/10 a bit oily for me

Rosin 8.5/10 lemon city

I filmed a little melt shot, but I can't seem to mix pics and vids in the same post. Oh well. Pics it is.

Clamsand pressing. This one went a little sideways as the texture of the rosin was very thin and difficult to work with. Ended up with no photos of the bud, losing some of the rosin, unable to check yield, thinking it was ruined, and even a little scared for my lungs. But as with most things, I learned something and it all came out fine in the end. If you want to see bud photos, there are other reviews with some and they look like my batch.

So, I was looking for some funk...and I found it. This stuff was very floral and aromatic when I opened the bag. Stinky fruit and mild grape, cleaner, mild grassy with a complex overripe odors. Small buds, as advertised, but again lots of green leaf left on the buds. This one I will complain about a bit. It was over the top and most were projecting from the bud, so they would have been possible to remove if they wanted to. Again, possibly factored into the price point. Either way, I picked off a ton of leaf before pressing. The buds were slightly overdry, so I rehydrated. It seemed to go faster than normal, and I removed the hydrator and added a couple of moisture packs. The next day the jar measured a good humidity level, but the buds seems a bit on the wet side...so I opened the lid to dry for a bit. Not the greatest for terp preservation, but that's how it went.

Then I did the first press (165deg) and I knew it was going to be a bit of a challenge. The rosin was super runny and almost impossible to collect, even with a cooling plate. It looked very green. I managed to get most of it and tried a test dab. Crazy floral terps hit the roof of my mouth, I quickly became a bit concerned, then breathed in. My lungs filled in a very unusual way. The smoke had more thickness. I'm a bit of a lung tank, so I didn't cough, but the urge was there and rising as I held it in. At that point I was thinking if something was wrong. Ends up there was. I think the strange haul was a result of the combination of 3 things. The good...huge terps, floral and funky. The bad...too much moisture and too many green leaves. Together these factors made for a strange and unpleasant toke. So, another day in the jar with a couple of burps, and 45 mins cleaning up the fancy oz I bought before pressing more.

As a result of these challenges and concerns, I kinda rushed to sort out the pressing problems and didn't take many pics. The subsequent pressings were good, but still very floral. I mixed them with the first press and they moderated the issues to the point where it's enjoyable now. About a week later, it's still a thin oil with no buttering in sight. I plan to load some into a glass syringe to carry as a portable dab loader for my battery rig.

I attached some taffy pull shots to show the texture and mild greeness, but it's tough to see as the jar is black. I did smoke one joint, but honestly can't remember and didn't make any notes.

Crazy texture on the rosin and wild flavor. Maybe your bag. Very interesting. Most of the serious issues were mine.

Overall 7/10

Yup. Another ounce. I know, y'all must be thinking, this guy smokes too much. Yes. Yes I do. Don't worry though...it's good to have a nice selection of concentrates on hand. It's like having a wine rack...but for weed. I'll clear up my backlog of recent victims (some of you have expressed your concern at my indiscriminate pressing), and you won't hear from me for a while. Rest assured, only plants were harmed in the experiments shown here. And if there is anything we have learned from vegetarians, it's that plants don't have feelings. You can all sleep better tonight, safe from the knowledge that my weed is not suffering. Much. Think of rosin pressing as hugging your weed, just kinda tightly.

So Gas Monkey. Not a chopper's pick. That doesn't mean shit as the price was close to the typical choppers. That price point is great for a solid oz, so I'm happy here. Drove a bit out of the way to get it, again as you persuasive OCS subreddit folk steered me beyond my breaking point to need this. I was lucky to get the last one when I got there. I may have soured on the strain had they been out...mere chance.

Opening the can I smell the garden. Like healthy earth. Think greenhouse without the tomato or cucumber smell. Or gardening without the charming fertilizer aromas. Maybe sounds bad, but it smells great. Buds are firm and nice sized (get my mind outta the gutter) and bright green(oh my!). Covered in crystals and very sticky. As with most of the bud I smoked this month, lots of green leaf to pick off. Normally I would be fine rolling this stuff, so I can't complain, but I would have often near a gram of leaf for each 7g pressed. That adds up. The cheap will just roll it back into joints. I am cheap. Eventually.

Joint smoked fine. Smooth burn and white ash, when the leaves are removed. No burn shot at the time of this review. Bit of a waxy fuel flavor, like breathing a fuel oil candle. A bit sooty? Nice strong high. Open eyes. Pushing it to finish the joint myself, but it's on the big side. Also, more struggling with the oily roach tokes than the high.

Pressed great around 165deg. Awesome bright golden color to the sap, turning to almost tarnished copper when collected. Just look at the sugar glinting. Not bad. Damn, I wish I had some right now...Oh wait! Lets go in for another dab. I like this review shit. And I'm rubbing my face. Spicy on the nose. It buttered up very dry, to the point where it is almost hard to get it to stick to a dirty dab tool. Quick dig out the scoop. As soon as I stir it, all the diesel fumes explode. Earthy taste. Very strong high. Eyebrows are up. I'm on my 50th dab today easy...all awesome shit, and this cuts through at 1am. That's a win for me. And damn...is that another full jar. Jesus wept.

I showed my partner the second collection to brag about my 23% return, and she looked and said "oooo, another booger". She does not smoke. She does not care. Please help fill the tiny empty hole she left in my heart.

Overall 8.5/10 Good value.

Here is a classic strain. Stoked for this one. Didn't really live up to the hype for me as the price was premium.

The bag had a mild spicy smell, but nothing over the top. Grassy, but not in the good way. The buds were on the smaller side. They had some frosting, but were not that sticky. Dense and dry. I tried hydrating it, but it did not seem to help that much. Had to pick off quite a bit of green leaf, as you can see in the photo.

As usual, not a ton to say about the joint. Went out once. I actually got a bit of a headache, but that's likely just chance. Drink more water. Sorry, no burn photo. I often smoke on a walk and don't like to take pictures of my smoking in public. I don't want anyone to mistake me for a weed influencer or something. No racy sativa high. No return on my ancient Cannabis Cup dreams. I remember the High Times cover the year this strain won. Never meet your heroes.

The yield was a bit low at around 16%, but it is a sativa. Looks like cake batter, but gets pretty soft, almost gel like, at room temp. Taste is more like a GSC to me, but with a touch of pepper on top. A wee bit racy on the high. Focused. Not really a super relaxed high. I just wish it was even stronger...just need a bit bigger dab.

Clamsand pressing. Another banger from Eastcann. I got teased by the Thunderfunk posts on this forum and finally got a can of my own. I was not disappointed. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

The bud smelled very nice. Grassy is the biggest note, with sweetness and some OG back in the day weed smell. Lots of nice red hair and covered in trichs, but not super sticky. Just nice dense solid buds. Big though. Funny that the closeup pic is just a little one. Nothing super taste wise in the joint, just smooth and strong effect, but not enough to take your head off.

Pressed very nicely. Almost a honeycomb sugared texture. Not even too snappy. Smelled citrus when I pressed it, but that went away quickly unless heated. Had a nice yellow green swirl, without tasting like chlorophyll. Great yield, always around 23%. This one made it easy. Battered up right away, so it's easy to manage when dabbing or loading into a vape.

Yes, that is a nice looking jar. Thank you.

Another Clamsand pressing. Gather round friends and listen to a tale of two batches. This is not a complete review, as I didn't even bother to get bud shots. But some of you may find it interesting anyway.

Before you all start, I have read the reviews and I already know this one won't be very popular. I hope you understand, I can only tell you my own experience. It does not magically undo anyone else's negative review. I think it's great to hear all sides of a story.

Carmel - Animal Face. I have no complaints. Of course, I am focused on pressing rosin, but I smoked a couple joints as well. Either way, that's not the story.

The story is the fact that I liked my first bag so much, I found a second one that I was able to get a bit cheaper. I was stoked and planned to buy another ounce. Yes, I liked it enough to get an ounce and a half. Eat my giant out of control bush. The issue is that when I got home and smoked some, I was not as impressed. It was fine, and the yield was the same, around 22% return, but it didn't make me smile the same. I looked at the bags and noticed at that point that it was a different batch.

I understand that there is variation within a batch, between batches, between growers, between strains etc., but I rarely have had two different batches very close in time like this where they have different specs. I have been buying mostly concentrates for many years, so maybe that is typical for others, but it's new to me.

The major difference on the tag was that there was a high level of CBG in the first batch. It was double the second batch, which was fairly high in CBG to start with I think. I knew nothing about CBG so, being a curious scientist, I had to try and confirm my thoughts and bought another half oz of the first batch at the original vendor. And here we are...2 oz of Animal Face rosin in the fridge. What to do?

Taste on the rosin is super creamy. Straight girl scout cookies flavor. Not my fave but, as with the bud, worth the high. Not as many great photos. The awesome Animal Face is on the left, the OK stuff is on the right.

As far as my experience with the brand itself. Also pretty good. I tried the Bubblegum Marker/Red Bulls 14g split. Both were great. The Marker pressed out like a runny oil with the right flavor...just like sharpie. Very hard to collect thought. The Red Bullz was like a cake batter right away and strong as shit. That's it so far, but not one strike...maybe just a ball on the weaker Animal Face. Otherwise all hits and a homerun. Guess I just got lucky.

That's right...they keep coming. Clamsand pressing from the upper shelf. Actually, that's where I keep the salt and the stuff I don't use...not the good stuff. Keep that shit close at hand.

Frost sativa offering. Covered in red hair and crystals. Not as sticky as the Alien Mints, but still tacky. Lighter buds. Spicy/Citrus on the nose.

Pressed nicely at around 165 degrees. Not instantly buttered, more of a sticky paste, but getting there quickly after collection. Cake batter after one day. Gassy if stirred. Creamy and gassy/spicy on exhale. Not quite as ripping as I was hoping. More clean and thin as a sativa may be. Will be a let down if you are looking for something heavy.

I included a couple of side by side shots of the last couple of reviews. These are (top to bot) Khalifa Mints, Alien Mints, 91 Royale). Who wants to come to my house?

Clamsand pressing. Top shelf again. I went on a 4/20 spree and got a couple bags of Frost and the West Coast Gas. Was not disappointed. Harvested Nov 18, 2025 (sweet info), Packaged Jan15, 2026, Lot KM111825.

Nice, big, fluffy buds with runs of purple. Covered in swollen glands. Smells like a minty dream. Sticky icky like slicky Ricky.

Didn't bother with smoking the flower, pressed it all. Came out almost a brulee color. A touch sappy at room temp, but hard from the fridge. After a week it is starting to butter a bit. Minty and creamy flavor. Has an aftertaste like when I eat a bit of bud. I'm stating to think that is the Myrcene, but I'm talking out my ass as I see there is none listed in the top terps on the bag. The high just keeps building slowly over a couple mins. Very very nice.

Solid 9/10

Still available.

Sick!! This shit is like a hedgehog. It's so stuck in a ball it seems to resist when I try and pull it apart. It's like breaking the buds off a bigger bud, but they're not actually attached. Clamsand here again...nice to meet you all today. As you can see, I have been busy over the last couple weeks and I thought I'd leave some feedback on here to spread the good word as you have all done for me. Thanks. All your awesome feedback and reviews have really helped my legal selections. I am usually dodging bullets and hitting bullseyes recently. But you can be the judge of that. :)

This one is a true heavy hitter. No lie. Not sure where/if you can still get some, but you should try. I've only ever seen bud of this particular texture and stickyness once before...believe it or not 20 years ago. I got an ounce off this guy in Scarb and had the balls to challenge him on the count. He weighed it out again in front of me laughing, then I weighed it on my scale at home. It was right. Just oddly dense and sticky. It doesn't look so bad in the photos as I pulled it apart.

Pressed well. Yield was a big 23% as befits a lineage of such genetics and care. Mint and cookies flavor, with a slow creep up high that keeps going. The rosin was pretty firm at first out of the fridge, but after about 5 days it buttered up nicely and is easy to handle now. Bit of a shame to press such nice bud, but wow, what a shame. Squinty eyed joe over here.

I attached a pic of a king size I rolled to try the bud. That was dumb. I could not even smoke half and was so baked I didn't take any burn shots. Oh well. Nice case eh? Gift from a friend, shoutout Ryan Watt owner of Lionhead Contracting.

See the rig of enormous girth

Upon his back he holds the earth

Good luck on your missions.
