I recently picked up this saber online just to have as part of the collection. I’m normally into firearms but wanted a cool saber just to have. Anyways I know it’s a clone of a 1796 but it seems like just about everyone was making those at one point or another. It was advertised as being from the war of 1812, and I did find several very similar sabers from the period, however this one, likely due to the patina and wear, has no markings visible. The handle is bone, other than that I can answer any questions that may healed identify it. Thank you in advance for any help.
