All I need it to do is run a linux distro that lets me install linux programs. Beyond that, it just needs to run 1080p video files and stream YT videos. I'm pretty knowledgeable about software, but I am lost on the hardware. I dont want to get more than I need and overpay.

Bonus points if you can recommend a lightweight linux distro that can do this and be controlled exclusively by a gaming controller. I already use bazzite for this on a different theater pc, but that isnt exactly lightweight.
