HR Career Questions

Hello! I'm a high school teacher with a Master's degree in education interested in transitioning to HR.

I have been doing the HRCI course on Coursera as a starting point and find the information really interesting. It sounds like HR is a great fit.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to land and actually succeed in one of these roles without taking a massive pay cut.

Is the HRCI courses enough? Do I hop on WGU and grab a second Master's degree? I do have a couple of years of management experience at Domino's that included recruiting/hiring/training in addition to 5 years of teaching. I'm not sure how much translates or what job requirements I really meet.

I am already tailoring a very nice resume template into and writing a cover letter for each job.

Any help would be deeply appreciated!
