UPS delivered a Hiwatt Super Leeds 150 earlier today with customary damage their processing facility staff inflicts upon music gear packaging. Thankfully, the head appeared cosmetically intact, though the clean channel sounds like there is a faint, fizzy overdrive underlying the main signal regardless of pickup output and amp settings. It is almost like there is bleedthrough from the dirty channel. I did troubleshooting by plugging straight into the amp, all cables are functioning normally, speaker impedance and wattage are correct, and nothing in the effects loop should be boosting signal levels. Is this normal for the Hiwatt Super Leeds 150 clean channel?
