Profit to be made in Refining?

I am a returning player coming back after a 3-4 year break. I used to do lots of 2v2 HG and 8.3 Slayer CD when they released. I have a good amount of silver (200M) and a mammoth. I am looking for something to invest in to make some money. I have been looking at refining for the most part. I guess my question is if there is still good profit in focus refining if I have good money to start with, and a mammoth.
I started leveling refining from 0 on my main char to kinda see how it is. I've been setting up buy orders for ore the past 4 days, and transporting to Thet, and mass refining. I'm 300/500 spec in refining ore now, and I was hoping to park the character and alts at 400/500 total, and use 10ish characters for focus refining. I've been making profits speccing up refining, but is there enough profit in focus refining on alts to maintain premium, and turn over good profit silver over the course of a month?
