Stainless Steel water storage for a long trip

I'm located in Canada and am about to embark on a month long trip where we'll be hitting lots of areas that don't have services, doing some backpacking and lots of car camping.

I've got the light gear sorted for backpacking, and for the car I'd like to bring a storage of water with me for cooking/drinking/etc. I was about to purchase the Swiss link water jerry can, but they are now sold out.

I was wondering if anybody has recommendations for non-plastic water storage to use in the car - I can always taste the plastic if water is stored in it, and dislike using it. I've been looking around a fair bit, but hoping someone here might have something creative I haven't thought of. Thanks in advance
