(If you need help, shoot me a DM, I am getting a handful of messages)

Hello everyone, as we prepare for the new cycle, I wanted to share some wisdom from helping others over the past 3 cycles. A personal statement will, in fact, increase or decrease your interview potential. Perhaps personal anecdote, but I have helped over 40 people who had amazing stats... like 3.95 GPA and 519 plus MCATs, and they only received 5 interviews, whereas someone who wrote a very compelling essay with half the stats as these other people received twice as many. Why? People actually do read your PS, and not everyone reading is a doctor. They don't care about medically complex jargon. They care about having a compassionate heart. Firm resolve. Great recovery story. Whatever your life vocation/past is, they want to know about you and see if you would be a teachable student who is motivated to do well.

So please please put in extra work with your PS. Have it read and reviewed. Have it checked over by many people. Both premeds and non-premeds.

And of course, I am helping people now with the upcoming cycle. I was happy to help others last cycle and will continue to offer help, so if you need, please shoot me a message. I will be a bit slow as I am helping a lot of people, and so my time and energy are limited, given I have to focus on residency!
