suggestions for cleaning?

having trouble getting rid of the spot in the image, above the glove box. at the very least trying to make it less noticeable. it’s pre owned so not sure what caused it, but it doesn’t seem to be scratched...? i haven’t explored my options too much — I’ve used some water on a cloth, car wipes, and general interior cleaner (with microfiber cloth), plus goo off just in case…but no luck.

The last owner had some nastiness in between the knobs and stuff, oils from their hands & general dirt etc. but while I’ve been able to clean that with disinfectant, a toothpick, and a dream, I haven’t been able to get rid of this area.

At the very least, anything I can do to make it less noticeable?

TLDR; Anything to include in lecture/practical/general that would have made your field day(s) better? What should I make sure to hammer into their heads? Got any helpful tips you can pass on to me, to pass on to them?

We’re already providing food/electrolytes/water for the 20 students who will be joining us from across the county/state. Ex battalion chief is the instructor, and he is CRAZY smart and qualified, I loved how he taught my class before. For most students - to my understanding, this will be their first certification in fire. So… total rookies here.

Only volunteer departments will be there, and I think it’s more of a “crushed up” experience - we’re hosting it as a first step for those who aren’t getting their red card yet but need the skills/wildland cert. Like, squishing a lot of content into a short amount of time. Mostly familiarizing them with basic scenarios, tactics, and gear. They have taken an online course prior to this but likely have trained a little with their various departments - may be huge gaps in skill level due to this.

Of course, most of the wildland stuff is common sense, and I’ve gained a year or so of relevant experience, but I’ll brush up on my knowledge too. Just wondering if yall had anything you would have liked to experience or hear.

I really respect the man who asked me to join him instructing in a few weeks, so I don’t want to look like a tool… And I really want to give the newbs a good time! I was so flattered to be asked and I really want to make my chief proud too, so give me all the advice ya got lol!
