I’m over one month in to my CPAP program and have yet to settle into a rhythm . I was having great success with the F&P nova micro (no leaks, low AHI) but my nose got infected from sharp edge of the pillows.

I switched to the Resmed N30 to let my nose heal up and i find it to be super hissy and loud. generally, i toss it off most nights within an hour because it’s also uncomfortable.

I have a Resmed P10 I could try again but I don’t remember it being very comfortable either.

The medical supply office isn’t helping me very much anymore and my doctor’s prescription still hasn’t been updated for my pressure range so I’m pretty much exhausted by all of this. Any advice?

I noticed that ABRP doesn’t recommend Tesla charging stations even if I list it as a preferred charger. While I could calculate charging stops using a similar car such as the Tesla Model 3, I do enjoy the accuracy of planning with my own car’s parameters based on trim and year. How do other folks manage this?

I haven’t had great experiences with IONNA and Electrify America because I always end up in some random place with no bathroom or facilities.

I am going on an overseas trip involving a hike and tricky logistics that will potentially require me to carry my cpap the entire trip.

I’ve got a few options:

  1. carry it with me + all supplies + distilled water on 20+ miles of hiking

  2. leave it behind for a week (my apnea is right on mild/moderate threshold)

  3. drop a bunch of money on a portable unit

  4. entrust my device with a local to shuttle it to my end point (in another country)

For anyone voting option three, can you tell me more about your experience with portable cpap and any specific devices you recommend?

TIA

I’ve noticed that a lot of the chargers that ABRP recommends are so new, that they are not even in the ford map app. I’ve tried to to condition using the address alone but get confused by the double negative, “charging not require” yes/no option.

Then I lose CarPlay access bc I’m in the dumb ford app and the car doesn’t condition anyway.

Not having a simple way to condition is extremely irritating. I haven’t found a dealbreaker yet but this might be one. It need not be so difficult to ensure that the battery is ready for DCFC

I have read about folks keeping the accessory power in to charge devices . I’ve even seen people discuss leaving the car on to run the AC for extended periods.

I am considering running a medical device using an inverter overnight but I’m not sure the car will handle it. I think it needs around 250-309 watt hours , but the inverter may increase the wattage needed.

I don’t want to kill the DC accessory battery doing this. Anyone have any experience?
