I finished my novel, and am currently having beta readers look over it. I am confident in the story, but not in the prose, but my readers seem to enjoy it so far. I am just concerned that my writing isn't good enough and some parts and descriptions could be more clear, since I'm more of a storyteller than a writer. I am also concerned at my lack of variety in word choice sometimes, especially when indicating who is talking in different scenes. is it worth it to pay for a line/copy edit before querying to agents? Will it increase my chances of getting picked up?
