I’ve swapped out an old pressed steel radiator for a new stylish vertical column radiator.
The new radiator heats up ok and the rest of the system has been balanced.
However, I believe the flow and return connections are the wrong way round as the ‘return’ connection is heating up first when the heating comes on. Apart from a gurgling and trickling sound coming from the new radiator everything seems to be working OK.
Should I change the flow and return connections around to the correct side of the radiator?
I’m only hesitating as I got the new soldered connections on the 8mm copper tubing without any leaks and feel like I’ll be tempting fate if I have to do two more soldered connections to swap the flow and return.
I know the radiator won’t be working to its full efficiency but what other issues could arise if the connections remain the wrong way round.
N.B. All the central heating pipes run through the cement screed floors of the bungalow.
