Hey guys,
I’ve been following Micron for a year now, and I still love the stock. I’m definitely under the personal belief that Micron is no longer cyclical like it has been in previous booms. Even if that isn’t the case, it seems like the general consensus is MU is sold out until 2027/28 until there is a meaningful supply increase. But here’s my big question: Is SanDisk’s HBF a threat to Micron? On one hand I get that they are different products, but it seems that data centers would need less ram (ie. Cache storage). As a result would this bring down demand for HMB? I’m by no means a technology expert, so if anyone has any insight I’d appreciate hearing your thoughts.
One other note:
I keep seeing people just assume that memory prices will crash in 2027 as new supply comes online. Does anyone else think that there might be a significant increase in demand by this time and that there still won’t be enough supply?
