A heads up that heat relief locations in Phoenix opened just a few days ago for the Summer.

Locations:

24/7 Respite Center: 20 W. Jackson St.

  • Open around the clock with cooling space, water, navigation services, and connections to shelter and other resources for anyone who may need it.

Justa Center: 1001 W. Jefferson St.

  • Cooling center open to the public: 3-9 p.m. daily.

Cholla Library: 10050 Metro Pkwy E.

  • Cooling center with full library services:
    • Mon–Sat: Open until 9 p.m.
    • Sundays & Holidays: Noon–9 p.m.

Anyone in need of transportation to a cooling center or heat relief can call 2-1-1 daily from 9 a.m.–7 p.m. starting May 1.
