My favorite recipe of shortbread uses the creaming method, where butter & sugar are creamed til light & fluffy. This yields a crumbly melt in your mouth product
But I’ve seen most recipes press the butter into the flour to create the dough then bake.
How would the result be different than creaming? & what would be the difference in texture? Is it minimal?
I have a pie pan from USA bakeware, thy use americoat non stick coating.. is it safe to use?
It might not be as noticeable in pic but the bottom half is more browned. Is it a fault on my part or some cake do brown more on the bottom?
