Anyone running a 1.74” suppressor under a SIG MCX suppressor-compatible handguard?
I’m trying to figure out whether an LPM Anthem-S2 with a 1.74” OD will realistically work under either the SIG MCX suppressor-compatible handguard or the Midwest Industries MCX SD handguard.
From what I’ve been able to find online, both handguards seem to have an internal diameter around 1.75”, which sounds insanely close. On paper it technically fits, but I’m more concerned about real-world use once the suppressor heats up and the gun actually starts firing.
I’m wondering if anyone here has firsthand experience running a can this large tucked under one of these handguards. Did it actually clear safely? Any rubbing issues from heat expansion, barrel flex, or suppressor droop? Did you trust it long term or did it end up being one of those “yeah it fits but I wouldn’t do it again” setups?
I’ve attached a picture of my current setup below as well.
Would really appreciate any pictures, measurements, or experiences from people who’ve actually tried it.
