my_qualifications: Btech in Mechanical Engineering

I am 26yo with 4-4.5 years of experience as a design engineer. I wanted to transition to a different career and decided to pursue masters. For now, broadly, I have received admits from three universities and courses.

  1. KU Leuven, Belgium: Masters in Materials engineering but because of my background I need to complete a 1 year preparatory program to get direct admission

  2. RWTH Aachen, Germany: Masters in Materials engineering

  3. University of Stuttgart: Computational Mechanics of Materials and Structures (COMMAS)

Although choice (1) was my target, because of a preparatory course, I may not be able to afford it. (2) is a good choice, but I am afraid to do it mainly because wherever I am searching, a lot of students mention that job prospects in materials engineering is limited, at least in Germany. Also I am specifically interested in polymers/composites or computational materials science, I am not sure the course caters to it (3) is a good choice, but I am not very inclined as it is mostly computational. I am also unsure about the reputation in europe (not just in germany) as my plan is to pay back loans by industry and work towards research

My primary subject of interest is materials engineering, although that doesn’t necessarily mean I am not interested in any other.

Here are my questions:

  1. I understand this situation is specific to me, but what would advise me in this situation?

  2. What are the job prospects in materials engineering in europe?

I applied and received a conditional admit for Materials Engineering. The condition is to complete a one preparatory course in Materials engineering which was mentioned as ad-hoc. I have searched but I could only find a dutch programme for the same field. Is anyone aware of the curriculum?

I have also sent a mail with all my questions, however I have received any response.
