Hey, so we got our first dutch oven via Amazon. It's the black enameled Staub La Cocotte 28Cm.

I've heard that they roughed their enamel a bit for better browning, but ours has completely different levels of roughness depending on the area of the pot.

Light scraping with a paper towel absolutely shreds it to bits. Even a wooden spoon gets sharpened on it, leaving light wooden marks on the pot. I used as much pressure as i normally would.

It's only this coarse on the inner sides going up. The bottom itself feels pretty smooth. So very unevenly coated, doesn't feel intentional.

Did we get scammed, was this amazon seller a bad idea? How are your Staub ovens in comparison?

Depending on the answers here we will return this one and order directly from Zwilling or Staub next time!

TLDR: super rough coating on the pot, second guessing if it's even enamel. Literally shreds paper and wood.
