I want to start off by saying, disney princess' Aurora is a special interest character of mine and she is an extremely special part of my childhood so I MORE than like her, I have a DEEP love for this character. My question is, do people genuinely like Aurora? I know she is considered an "OG" princess but it seems she is so forgotten in the Disney princess world? I even feel so sad when I hear and see people saying she has no "personality" or "substance" because I think she has IMMENSE substance. It could be my autism and me just wanting others to enjoy my interest just as much as I do and I admit that but are there others who truly see the beauty (not just physical) and character that this.....well......character has....?
Okay, I have to rant about her of course: Firstly,...... SHE'S PINK! haha, but no seriously: she, in my opinion, has one of the most heart breaking stories. Basically not having autonomy of herself within her sleep BUT being so closed off from the world for her protection. She displayed this innocence and naivety, yet, we know she tries and follows fhe rules.... "no talking to strangers". So much so, the only contact shes ever really had with other people outside of her three fairy mothers is someone through her dreams. As an autistic woman who doesn't speak to other people myself and has stronger connection with animals, seeing her speak to animals and tell them about her life make me feel like I can see myself in her. And honeslty......... her simplicity is beautiful to me.
I could go on and on about her of course but my point is, I feel like there are so many Disney girls people shame and it makes me feel so sad because they are all us in some way? Does anyone feel this way aboit Aurora? I know people feel this way about Raya! What do you think? Sorry for rambling (did I mention she wears pink🤣)
