I’ve been having consistent remote start failures on my 2026 Pathfinder. While inspecting the hood latch area I found a small blue switch connected to the hood that can be moved left or right. I’ve been told this may be a hood safety switch that prevents remote start if in the wrong position. Has anyone else noticed this switch on their Pathfinder? Do you know what position it should be in? Could this be causing my remote start to fail? Any help is appreciated!

Having issues with remote start on my 2026 Pathfinder Platinum....it’s only worked maybe 3-4 times in the 2 weeks I’ve owned it. When I try to remote start, the horn honks and lights flash but the engine never actually starts. Happens with both key fobs and the MyNissan app. I’ve checked all settings and tried everything. The issue happens with both key fobs AND the MyNissan app simultaneously which rules out the key fob battery. Is this a known issue? Anyone else experiencing this? What fixed it if anything?
