We are losing our long-term nanny at the end of the summer and are on the hunt for another to join our family. We found a young woman, 23, who isn't looking to start until the end of August due to her current schooling.
Did a phone interview with her, she sounded great. Asked a ton of questions was very thorough and seemed to know her stuff. Did a background check, it's all clear. She came to meet our family to see if we meshed and she was very nice, very sweet to the kids, again thorough and asked a lot of questions, but something feels off and I need to know if I'm being judgemental and am just used to our incredible nanny or if there's something.
She shows up to meet us in stained clothes, like visibly dirty. Her boyfriend drove her in a very very run down car. She doesn't have a vehicle and he would be transporting her. Her teeth are clearly rotten. At one point my daughter got upset and threw a toy at her (she's in a throwing stage) and it looked like she was about to yell at her but stopped herself. Like got all wide eyed clenched jaw like. She was also overly bubbly towards the kids, but it could just be her personality.
Idk. Am I just used to our incredible nanny or are these concerning things?
