In season one, when the DiMeo leadership is discussing the impending FBI probes and the possibility of lamming it, Junior and Tony shoot it down on the grounds that all the rackets they leave behind will be taken over by rival criminal organizations. Why not just lam it and leave the day to day operations to capable enforcers and associates who are under the Feds’ radar? Anyway, I’m $4 a pound.
