Pregnancy Migraines

Well, I had a "what fresh hell is this?" day yesterday.

I've had migraines since I was 15, I am now 40. I would say I have been lucky over the years - they have not been constant, I'll have years/seasons where they are really bad but then I will also go through long periods where I don't get any at all. Over the past year or so, I haven't really had any; for some reason I will never know (diet, magnesium glycinate, allergy pills, vitamins, exercise?) I haven't really dealt with them.

I am 8 weeks pregnant with my second child, and the past 3 weeks have been brutal. Yesterday, for some unknown reason (didn't change anything) I got a 9.5/10 migraine on both sides. What's worse is the doctors can't give me anything - like all the doctors tell me to do is take Tylenol (cue my migraine laughing maniacally), put a cold press on my head, and drink electrolytes. Yeah, okay.

On top of that, I have a three year old, who doesn't slow down for migraines. I was so incapacitated I had to ask my tired husband to take over for the rest of the day/night.

Everything I read is like "for many people, migraines lessen in severity during pregnancy". Not to scare anyone here from getting pregnant, as hopefully this is true for you, but y'all I am in hell.
