How to write a slow-burn fic which Ciri reminds the male protagonist from other fandom his former lover?

I'm writing a crossover fic of Witcher and Bloodborne, in which the Hunter, after losing his lover Lady Maria and succumbing to the guilt for all the deaths of everyone he knows, ended up traumatized and then left Yharnam for good after slaying the Moon Presence, only to find himself in the Continent, where he simply resigned in a hut. Then he starts having dreams of an ashen-haired woman who would always find her way to him, and Ciri also has dreams of him until she runs into him while fleeing the Crones. How to write the slow-burn romance for them, which the Hunter doesn't want to pursue any further with Ciri because she reminds him of Maria, and doing it would be a betrayal to Maria and himself because no matter how much Ciri and Maria look alike Maria is gone and Ciri is not her, while for Ciri, she finds herself continuously running into him and having an unknown feeling for him as if she is bound to him by destiny?

A while ago, I asked for some advices of writing a crossover LoTR and GOT in which Sauron crossed paths with Rhaegar and Lyanna, and afterward stole Jon away after he learnt about the prophecy of the Prince that was Promised. In this AU, Sauron still has some of his magic left and the One Ring, but he needs to spread the corruption across this land until he can regain his full strength. Thus, he starts with Essos, where he will spend the early years grooming Jon and finding new subordinates, whom he finds the Dorathki to be a perfect replacement for his Orcs. How to show the way Sauron manipulates everyone left and right until they submit to him, believable and not just because "the plot says so, just like Khal Drogo submits to Sauron after Sauron "cured" him from the Witch's curse (this happens earlier in the AU and is also part of Sauron's plan). What I'm quite uncertaint is how to handle the manipulation of Sauron that would make sense after he made the Khal Drogo indebted to him, for example, because the reason must be justified and also well explained, not simply because "He is Sauron, so whatever he says will convince others.". Let's take Khal Drogo as an example, how should I write the manipulation that is believable when Khal Drogo submits his whole clan to a self-proclaimed God?

This may sound like a strange question, but when I first played Vahalla many years ago, I thought the story would take the direction of Eivor from a clan in Norway, which was against the raiding of England and basically the most peaceful clan in all of Norway. After Harald took over the throne, he showed himself to be a member of the Order of Ancients and forced the Raven clan to submit or die, resulting in them leaving to England. While in England, Eivor saw how his kin were running rampant and pillaging people here, making him feel he needed to finally stop this once and for all. The Raven clan then worked together with Alfred and Wessex to drive off the Heathen's army, which Ubba, Ivarr, and Halfdan are members of the Order of the Ancients. Then the assassins are involved, and Eivor will eventually join them at the end of the game, and then he will have a final showdown with Alfred, who now wants to build a new Order that is exactly like the Order of the Ancients.

I know AC Vahalla was made to appeal mostly to mainstream media, and they never give a damn about historical accuracy ever since Revelation which the Byzantines were somehow portrayed as the villains when they just lost their fucking home to the Ottomans. But no matter how much I think about it, it still doesn't make sense why the Vikings somehow are now the good guys working with the Assasins while clearly in history, it was the Saxons who were butchered and violated by these barbarians. Plus, the Order of the Ancients was not Templars, and they pretty much loathed God, so it's not necessary to have priests and Catholic rulers to be portrayed as members of the Orders. Given the ideology of the Assassins, I thought the story would take the approach of an outcast member or clan from the Vikings going rogue and defending the Saxons because of his morals, leading him to join the Assassins eventually. Plus, it always makes me confused why Alfred is portrayed as the bad guy in the game all the time when in history, he was the true hero of Britain when his land was ravaged by the invaders. What do you think?

When it comes to this pairing, it will either be that Bella is secretly good, or Harry is now a new Dark Lord. It feels off for me tbh because that's not the characters I know and want to see. The only trope Bella is good that is done well in this case is time-travelling, where Harry meets her during Hogwarts, and I want to see something different than this one. What I mean is maybe a fic which both Harry and Bella still hate each other, but slowly come to somewhat mutual respect because of the circumstances, and they are not "in love" either, but the attraction is there. The only fic I can think of is Only Enemies, which does this quite well because Bella is her canon version- insane and sadistic, while Harry is still a Gryffindor, but he is hardened and bitter now after the war. Any fic similar to that?
