My complaints have been addressed:
This album sounds MUCH better. I liked Hackney, there wasn’t a song I disliked, but the compression was too much. I feel like the guitars are really given room to breathe and I can finally HEAR Keith. Both and he and Ronnie are sounding great too, Ronnie is going to be the hero of this album it’s sounding like, totally loving the lead playing we’ve heard so far.
I don’t want Steve to copy Charlie, but the swing is there, I feel like it wasn’t before.
Sounds like Daryl is on bass? That or Keith. Watt’s bass playing was serviceable, but he lost the bounce. I feel as though the core bounce and swagger of the Stones’ rhythm section is present in a way it wasn’t on the previous album.
If I can expect more of the same from the next 12 tracks, this will be my favorite album of the latter stones period, BY FAR.
