Hi folks, I am looking for a new car in the Philly area. Some of you may know how driving life is in and around the city. Essentially, I am looking to buy a car no more than 10K. Primarily, it’s for getting my 1 year old son to and from daycare and myself to and from work. Of course, I’m sure I’ll have some other trips in between and do my own errands but I rely heavily on public transit.

I’m here to ask for advice on the major things to look for. Ideally, my main concern is just knowing the car is safe and reliable so I can safely have my son in the car. Do any of you have recommendations on the types of cars I should be looking at? Which models have expensive maintenance?

I did see a few cars that caught my eye. 3 in particular are: 2015 Nissan Altima S for 6K. 2016 Cadillac XTS for 7k. And a 2014 Lincoln MKZ for 7k.

Any and all advice would be appreciated!
