These are two rugs I inherited. What I was told is they came from a family member who acquired them sometime in the 1930s-1950s in Washington DC and it’s my understanding that they were already old at the time, not new. I’m not knowledgeable about rugs so I don’t know if that age is accurate or not.
The first four photos are of the 10 foot by 31 inch runner. Top side. Top side edge. Underside. And underside with fringe.
The last four photos are of the 12 foot by 9 foot area rug. Top side. Top side edge. Underside with fringe. And underside with stapled cloth tag.
Anyways any help in identifying what type of rugs these are, their origin, approximate age and approximate value would be greatly appreciated. I don’t plan to sell them but I just want some idea of the value before I start using them.
