Just upgraded to AM5. It's not only telling me I need to activate Windows again, but certain mobo features just won't work unless I upgrade to Win11 (I have Win10 and heard nothing but awful things about Win11). I have a Tomahawk X870E, 9800X3D & 7900XT (one of those Mercury ones). I'm indecisive—
I'm having to use a WiFi dongle because my WiFi/BT card on my mobo won't work on Win10 at all despite updating all drivers & trying some workarounds. (Same for sound card/sound in general). Should I bite the bullet and update to Windows 11 so my mobo can be up to date, or should I try more workarounds until it (maybe) works? Trouble is, is that I've never used Win11 and simply heard how terrible it is, so which path is best?
I already have Winhance installed to de-bloat. Are there any other similar programs I should download that are similar to Winhance? Also, whether it exists or not, idk, but is there a program for Win11 that gives everything the UI of Win7/previous Windows OS'es?
I assume that all my stuff will still be there I update to Windows 11, bit must wanted to check KT is safe & wouldn't say, do anything like format my drive, hah? Thanks 👍
