Otters' export strategy current status
My dear forest gang,
as a fellow Otters enjoyer, I was wondering if Otter's export strategy could finally be viable with the approach of the new Squires & Disciples deck and the Lilypad Diaspora's froggy deck so I picked up both decks and put together a simple Excel list.
Please note: I excluded cards shared between the two decks.
S&D: Pics above show that there is no significant decrease in average card cost and the percentage of 1-cost cards is even a bit higher in the E&P deck.
Frog cards: The average card cost of frog cards is significantly lower, but can otters even craft frog cards? they don't have a frog trade post placeholder in which to put their funds.
Conclusions
Export sucks a bit less but it's still likely not competitively viable with the new S&D deck. Of course, I am definitely going to try it out.
If Otters cannot craft frog cards (as I suspect), the export strategy will be even worse against Lilypad Diaspora.
Please let me know in the comments about frog-otters crafting interaction.
Also, is anyone of you crazy enough to have already tried the Export strategy in this new meta?
