I am an experienced guitar player and producer ,electric guitar mostly with over 25 years of playing . My budget is tight and I am looking for an acoustic for semi pro recordings. The thing with that is that youtube actually helps because I don't care how the guitar will sound in person but only how it translates when recorded.

After watching tons of youtube reviews ,a lot of them properly recorded, I decided to order the GS Mahogany. To me it sounds like it can be a serious production tool . Given that the recordings I listened are dry and no eq'ed ,imagine what you can do if you pan different takes or record stereo and properly mix .

I'm not sure if I am imagining things or this is too good to be true ,but I will soon have it on my hands to test!

My budget is around 1k , the use will be semi -professional. I don't need a pickup system and the style is strumming and flatpicking , no fingerpick . I already own Interface.

Let's take for example the D-10E Retro Nat. On Martin's site its 999 Dollars or 850 Euros .  American retailers typically sell it for 899$ which is even lower. Ignore that . In Europe the same guitar costs 1385 euros that is 1624 $. So it is almost double the price . I understand the import fees etc. But in any case the price should not be that high... So who is to blame for that ? retailers?
