Just finished Your Lie in April and now I understand why everyone says this anime emotionally destroys people

I honestly thought people were exaggerating when they said this anime would emotionally ruin them, but after finishing it alone at 3AM with headphones on, I just sat there staring at my screen feeling empty 😭

I expected something sad and beautiful, but I didn’t expect it to hit this deeply. The music, the loneliness behind the smiles, the fear of being forgotten, and Kaori trying to live so brightly despite everything genuinely hurt

And honestly, Kaori’s character frustrated me at first because she felt so chaotic and overwhelming, but later I realized that was exactly the point. She was desperately trying to live loudly before time ran out. Meanwhile Kousei’s struggle with fear, trauma, and feeling emotionally numb felt way too real sometimes.

The letter scene completely broke me.

What moment hit you the hardest emotionally?
