Rant warning:

32 years old, left my old job, crane driver, for my 'dream' job of a PC.

Got accepted to BTP, went through training, staff loved me, promised I'm gonna do really well and I've got a bright future ahead of me.

2 months out on patch and hating it. 90% of jobs are vagrants and mispers. And of course fare evaders >=[

Good jobs, knives, drugs etc are few and far.

NICHE (BTP's case file management) is a nightmare for me. 2 months in and I still can't build a casefile in under 2 days.

Losing sleep (posting this at 2am) because I'm stressed. So much paperwork, less sleep, more anxiety..

Crane driving was much better money, and I felt confident in it. Every time I step outside in uniform I'm dreading the next misper/fare evader/vagrant as I know that's me stuck up for paperwork for the next 2 days..

Should I go back to crane driving?

Could join Essex or Met specials to get my fix, minus the paperwork..

What yall think?
