I feel like he just disappeared. Batted .310 across an entire season, suffers an injury, comes back and bats .217 in 21 games before he is traded for literally nothing, bats .234 for another 21 games and is released and never plays again. How does not a single team see a guy who was an all-star batting .310 with 30 homers just a year before hitting a slump over just 42 games and not give him a chance? And how to we get literally nothing for him, not even a 2050 400th round pick or something? Does anyone know if there's some detail to this I'm missing I feel like I've never seen another player's career end so quickly.
