...cause I want some. Seems like it would be a fun trip.
I know there's a boot/cobbler revival in a way, but I'm seeing boots that are tore up from the floor up** going for nearly a pair of new factory seconds. And once you get the used ones and pay a cobbler for a resole/recork you're saving like $50 over brand new factory firsts.
Who's buying these? I've seen some over $100 that wouldn't be worth $20 at goodwill...but they must be selling or they wouldn't be at that price.
Or is it like the used guitar market post-covid...where many of the listings are at 'dream on' prices that are finally coming back down to sane levels? Asking because I've never really tracked used RW prices, but thought it might be fun to grab a cheap pair to attempt a resole.
**Worth mentioning, I get that some overseas, rare, or limited models might go for more used...but well worn 3 year old IR's for $200+? Lol.
