I’m currently using a UDM Pro; 1 Gbps fiber connection with PPPoE authentication, a standard RJ45 cable from the ONT into Port 9, and a couple of LANs (one of which connects to a USW-16-POE).

From what I've gathered, the prevailing sentiment is that this controller is solid, though it struggles to maximise its performance on PPPoE plans specifically, primarily because it lacks hardware offloading.

I suppose my questions are threefold:

• For those who've made the switch from the UDM Pro to the UCG-Fiber, have you experienced a noticeable upgrade in performance?
• Are there any specific downsides to the UCG-Fiber, or did you encounter any unforseen challenges?
• If you were to make the switch, does the UDM Pro retain any additional uses?
