We have 5+ more years of:
Aho, Jarvis, Ehlers, Stankoven, Blake, Miller, and Slavin.

Oh and the cap is going up 8.5M next year which should easily cover Nikishin for 8 years this offseason.

Since we are both waiting here for the 2nd round, and have nothing better to talk about on extended off days...

Give me some thoughts on a few guys:

  • Mikko Rantanen: I know he was lost in a trade, so you likely don't feel as negatively about him than a lot of us Canes bros. What's the vibe these days seeing him on the Stars??
  • Martin Nečas: First 100 point season!! He simply wasn't going to get the minutes in the Canes system, but we all knew he had it in him! Love to see it. The dark mark on Nečas over the years has been a slight disappearance in the postseason.. I see he has 2 apples through 4 games, but haven't been able to watch (Thanks NHL for awful access to games..). How are the Nečas vibes these days??
  • Jack Drury: I miss this guy. What a dependable depth player. I see he matched a carrier high in points, and had a pretty solid +/- (Though who didn't on your team! lol). You guys loving him as much as I did?
  • Brent Burns: The (Iron)Man, The Myth, The Legend... How's our favorite prepper holding it down for you guys?

Side note: I know he didn't come from y'all... But we got Taylor Hall out of the trade (from Chicago), and boy has he been a perfect fit for our system! His line, Stankoven (Thanks Dallas!) + Blake, have been playing out of their minds. He's the perfect veteran to play with the young guys.

I am very pleased with how the trades worked out, and thankful to have a GM who would make the big move, and then improve on it even when the star player didn't want to stay. I hope you all are as well!

I've had FDSN up until now. What service will assure I have access to the rest of the games? ESPN+?? Hulu? Other?

EDIT: Thanks everybody! YoutubeTV has a decent start up deal on their sports package.
