I'm reaching out here because I'm running out of options and hoping someone in this community might be able to help.
My current place expires May 15.. yep.. just over a week, and I need to find somewhere. I've been searching every day on Zillow, Facebook Marketplace, and Craigslist, but it's been really discouraging. Between scam listings and never hearing back from people, I haven't gotten anywhere, and time is starting to feel tight.
A little about my situation: I'm coming out of a pretty difficult divorce, and I'm just trying to find a stable, peaceful place to land — somewhere my small dog and I can call home again. I'd really prefer an apartment with a separate entrance or a small house, just so we have our own space. I'd also consider buying if the right opportunity came up, but it would need to be something with a lease-to-own or purchase option.
What I'm hoping for:
- 1bedroom, maybe 2 around $1,500 if at all possible
- Separate entrance apartment or a small house
- Open to lease-to-own or purchase-option arrangements
- Pet-friendly — I have one small, well-behaved dog
- Within about an hour of Marlboro (very flexible on the town and distance)
About me: I've been a business owner for 10 years, so I have steady income and can provide whatever's needed. I'm quiet, clean, and respectful — I don't smoke or drink, and I'm out working most days. I just want a calm place to rebuild.
