VB-Audio Matrix produces crackling/distorted sound

I know this is this subreddit is for VoiceMeeter, but I couldn't find anywhere to ask, and the VB Forum isn't letting me register an account. I've contacted VB-audio and am still waiting for a response.

Basically, I've been dealing with intermittent audio corruption in VB-Audio Matrix for several months, and I'm hoping someone might be able to help.

Setup: Ryzen 7 7700X, Windows 11, Matrix 1.0.2.6, VAIO driver 3.4.1.7. Two USB-to-optical adapters as audio outputs (Samsung HW-F355/ZA soundbar and Presonus Eris Accent BT), both running at 48kHz/16-bit. Single VAIO2 slot active, STRICT sync, 1ms timer resolution via registry, power throttling disabled for VBAudioMatrix and audiodg.exe, process governor setting audiodg.exe to high priority and CPU core 1. Audio output to 4-channel VAIO2 is routed to the two stereo speakers.

Symptom: All audio outputs become distorted/crackly simultaneously. Requires a Matrix audio engine restart to fix, but comes back after several minutes. The "episode" requires a full system reboot to end. Can happen within minutes of a fresh boot or sleep/wake, or mid-session with no obvious trigger.

What I've ruled out: DPC latency is not elevated during crackling episodes (LatencyMon shows clean/suitable during active corruption). Not load-related. Not Spotify, not Wallpaper Engine, not OBS. Error DMA F/H accumulates on both the input and output of VAIO2 simultaneously and symmetrically during crackling. Note: running LatencyMon adds its own crackling to audio for some reason, regardless of whether a corruption episode is occurring.

Could anyone explain to me what the Error DMA F/H statistic measures exactly?

Any suggestions for what else to investigate?

Will UE Sword Get Nerfed

I would like to first and foremost apologize to my ranked teammates for accidentally shooting into an enemy UE Sword's absorber. It was only a single volley of pilum shots that hit the shield, but they wiped out my teammate's UE Ao Ming in three slashes.

Seeing how powerful the UE Sword is, I'm tempted to do its comeback quest (about ~$100 for me). Considering that the sword will no longer be obtainable after the collab ends, is it worth it?

I know this is a hot topic, but consider this: What reason does Pixonic actually have to do something about it?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as long as we keep playing, spending money, and as long as clueless new players keep joining the game, Pixonic literally has no reason to take action about the hacking. How long have we been complaining about power creep? Has Pixonic ever done anything about it? And yet we are still here, paying for their salaries.

For some people, they have just spent too much money to let go of the game. Pixonic has created this system where the longer you stay in the game, the more you can't afford to leave. And what happens is us players just have to accept whatever nerf, overpowered robot, or negligence Pixonic decides to enforce.

Is there no law that prevents video game developers from doing this? What can we do besides complain? I'd like to hear what you guys have to say.

Pixonic plz add a replay feature our team was about to lose and all the enemy titans were at our spawn but I won the 1v5 with my void bersagliere nobody will believe me and I don’t have a recording 🙏🙏🙏

Imagine spawning in and immediately getting bum rushed by 6 vectors. You’d think taking one out would help, but it just gets replaced by a UE Hawk.

It's so hard on mobile to keep the ability up while brawling. Even if there's a split second in between, I just get melted instantly. So instead of spamming the ability button (which still has a gap time), can we use the ability while its active to extend the duration of it?
