hi there. kitchen worker turned framer looking for shoe recommendations. stayed with sketchers for my first pair and unfortunately the toe box stitching is coming undone and their still inside of amazons return period.
pnw climate, so rain, wind, and sun. must be water proof, composite toe (just enough to protect from a 2x6 or rafter or smaller beam), and good for kneeling. i can tell my feet get much sweatier in boots compared to classic non-slip kitchen shoes but i can’t imagine that waterproof boots are also breathable?
price really isn’t an issue (under $300 ideally lol). something seattle/portland local would be cool, or at least being able to try on in person. looking for something to last hopefully at least a year of 45~hr weeks and to be my main water proof shoe for weekends as well.
