So, we still haven’t seen Clara’s wings, and that has been a huge topic in the fandom for a long time now. But then I came across this scene where Clara’s mom is flying using that magical beast instead of her own wings. That made me start wondering… have we actually ever seen any Valac family member use their wings at all in the story?
I’m genuinely having trouble remembering.
Because if we haven’t, then maybe this could mean that instead of Clara having angel wings like many people believe, she might actually have no wings at all… and maybe the entire Valac family doesn’t have wings.
One more thing about that scene: I think Clara’s mother flying on that beast might actually be anime-only. I’ve been trying to find it in the manga, but I can’t. The chapter where the Love Trio goes to Clara’s house is Chapter 89, and there’s no scene like that there.
Of course, hunting that beast could’ve simply been a teaser for the Harvest Festival since that arc was next in line. But it still feels really suspicious to me that they specifically chose to show Clara’s mother flying like that. I mean, they could’ve animated that scene in so many other ways.
And it’s not like Nishi-sensei has zero input in the anime either, so maybe this was intentionally done to tease something… unless I completely missed a manga panel where Clara’s mother was shown flying using that beast.
So yeah, let me know what you guys think:
