Convincing scam alert
Hi guys,
Im pretty new here so I wasn’t aware of the scam list. I made a post abt wanting a textbook a few hours ago and was taken advantage of my desperation.
The scary part abt the scam was that it was pretty convincing (to me at least)
They sent me screenshots of the pages and cover of the book, I was careful and cautious abt it by sending half of the money first and then once I got the pdf sending the rest later but unfortunately still got scammed.
Even though they are on the scam list I want to spread more awareness for this account so they don’t scam or take advantage of desperate students like me.
I have contacted the mods, the company on which I made the transaction (remitly) as well.
I attached the screenshots from our convo as well to fully showcase the scam more clearly. I still am waiting and got no reply after that and with the list it was confirmed that it’s a scam unfortunately.
