This is a beautiful wine. Balanced tension. Herbal minerality and eucalyptus on the nose. Bright red berries and cedar. Medium body with a long prickly finish. QPR is off the charts at $30.

Picked several of these up from LastBottle. At 18 years I think it’s drinking beautifully. Actually benefits from some air. Love the nose. Crushed rose petals. Fresh, bright red berries on the palette. Softened (I assume) but still grippy, happy tannins. Could probably still go longer. I’ll miss it when it’s gone!
Big fan of high elevation cabs but most of my experience has been from Napa. Decided to start exploring South America. For about $20 this bottle seriously delivers. Love it. Excited to explore more from Zapata. Picked up a two bottles of 2018 Nicolas Catena Zapata Red from WineBid. Any other recommendations?
