Questions About Varnishing Acrylic + Oil Pastel Artwork
Hello everyone! I’m currently working on this piece (it’s actually my very first physical artwork ever), and I’m using oil pastels on top of acrylic paint. I have a few questions:
What kind of varnish would be best to finish and protect this piece? Is there any specific varnish brand you would recommend?
I’ve noticed that my black acrylic paint looks less deep and opaque than my black Posca acrylic marker, so the difference is pretty noticeable. Would applying varnish help even out that difference? Also, would you recommend using a matte or gloss varnish for this kind of work?
